Justin, if you walk up to where the monorail driver sits, you can sit in the cab there with the driver. But you have to be quick or someone else will get there first.

Sadly since the fatal accident in 2009, guests are no longer allowed to sit up front with the driver at Walt Disney World. :(

There isn't a Mitsukoshi in LA/SoCal but, there are plenty of Japanese markets/grocery stores all over. Little Tokyo, Sawtelle, around Gardena-ish. You can find everything you'd want and need.

If you need Japanese goodies for Ally, check out Mitsuwa, Marukai, and Daiso stores! They're Japanese market chains all over LA, especially in the Torrance and Lomita area :) I have a lot of family there! You'll find a lot of the stuff they have in Epcot, but waaaaaaaay less expensive :)
