So in scheduling my birthday trip to Disneyland this year, I discovered after making all of the reservations and such that the 60th anniversary celebration kicks off on May 22nd. I will be in the park from May 18th to May 20th. I will miss it by two days! But, in retrospect, perhaps at least the crowds will be smaller whilst I'm there keeping an eye out for a live filming of Randomland or a Sometimes Vlog :P I've also heard rumors about a Haunted Mansion movie reboot that centers around the Hatbox Ghost filmed in stop motion animation. Oh, and I've seen two celebs at Disneyland: Howie Mandel as he was entering the park through the exit, and Alanis Morissette in the Tiki Room. I tried to say Hi to Alanis once the show was over in the Tiki Room, but lost sight of her as the crowd filtered out.

I remember the 50th anniversary. Crazy to think it's now the 60th this year. Man. I have a staff only pin from the 48th anniversary I received from a cast member who worked at innoventions after I told her about all the history of tomorrowland that I knew and she was just blown away from it she gave me the pin saying "with everything you know that I didn't know I think you earned this" and she was running thru innoventions to find me after I went inside the building

Haunted mansion is everything. So is New Orleans. I've been there and I definitely have to say that's exactly what it's like being in Nola , you hear jazz all day every day on the streets. It's the best.

No, this is Disneyland. The Haunted Mansion in Disney World looks kinda like a big reddish brown castle. I only know because I've been to both parks many times. It's easy to get confused sometimes though! :)

It would be a terrible time to visit Disney at the moment with all of the refurbishments that are going on with a lot of the rides and especially the castle being hidden from sight too. I bet there has been no reduction on the entrance prices to make up for it?. Glad we are thinking of going next year instead.

Act. The Castle will be reopening this March. ,The new World of Color, Fireworks show, and New night parade will debut on May 22, 2015 and the most of the Rides are not close like Its a Small World ride is under Refurb but its still operating, The Peter Pans Flight is closed until May 12, 2015 to get new effects like the Alice in Wonderland also The Matterhorn will not open until May 2015 for new Animatronics and a new Grizzly Air Field in Disney California Adventure will open also in May 2015. If you go on 2016 and plan to go on January-May not recommended because it was still the same situation as this years.
