I think what it triggers people about the Bruce Wayne head sculpt it's that he looks older which is actually correct considering the time Bruce has been retired from being Batman.

I was thinking the same thing that they should have made the Bruce Wayne arms interchangeable between articulated and folded as there are seams. Also, they shouldn't have bothered with the neck cover but instead, make the Bruce Wayne sculpt neckless with magnets for it to sit on the magnetic Batman neck post as the cowl head does. When unmasked in the film, the neck is completely covered. This neck piece is cut short, half of it doesn't come off with the cowl. If they made Bruce Wayne's sculpt neckless, then you can reach for the moving eyes from under (like with the latest Obi Wan sculpts) rather than needing the back of the head to be removed for access and having that nasty shark's teeth seam.

I disagree with the likeness, the eyes are too sunken in the new sculpt, which is why he looks off and more like a vampire. The DX19 sculpt looks much more accurate to Bale. The neck is too short on DX19 though, and that is an issue when trying to display it.

Great figure review! They keep making these 2 or 3.0 versions taller and taller 😬 also the power pose Bruce standing next to the armory is the draw for me. This was more of an artistic release to put you in that moment in the batcave when alfred and bruce are discussing the need for Batman's return. And that Christian Bale likeness is perfect with the new sculpt.

Hey hey Justin, how do you use a power bank (i assume like a portable phone charger) as an electricity source? I tried to do that but the power bank doesn't supply a constant flow of electricity. I tried to hook up some light fixtures for my hot toy iron man and connecting them to the bank using a USB. It only worked for like 10 seconds and the lights turned off. I had to push a button on the power bank to "reactivate" the bank, only to see that the lights turned off after 10 seconds again. It worked consistently well when I plugged the USB into like a wall socket but not to a power bank. <a href="#" class="seekto" data-time="870">14:30</a>

One of the hardest things about designing a helmet/cowled character is that it always looks cool on paper….then you realize how big helmets and cowls are 😂 I appreciate Hot Toys’ accuracy with his head size for the batman cowl sculpt, but would have also liked to see a cheated version where the head is smaller and looks more comic accurate - if that makes sense.

Curious how you would feel about the raindrop effect on say, The Batman (2022) batmobile for example. I don't know if I'd want it or not but the most iconic scene from that movie with the Batmobile is in the rain. (Like most scenes in the movie)

I don't collect DC, but I watch a lot of your reviews even for things I don't intend to purchase. Armory looks cool. If they had a power pose Tony Stark would really need your review before I consider it. Having a statue instead of a figure means hopefully detail carries for the lack of posing.

@JustinsCollection A lot less fun though. I have very few statues and they tend to be smaller or for characters that didn't have good figure releases at the time. I think if the figure can't move its arms, you shouldn't have to tug the shirt to hide seams.

love the armory, that looks amazing. I'd love to see a version of it for other Batman incarnations. Bale isn't my favorite Batman but i do like how this Batman cowl and figure doesn't look like a pin-head which is the impression i've gotten of most of the previous versions of the Bale Batman. The power pose figure looks good but I agree, why not an actual action figure?

Pretty cool set for sure! So I got a diecast captain America shield instead of trying to find new clips. But it has black elastic straps, do you think that could be an issue with staining plastic, fabrics, etc? Also it looks like the new winter soldier cap has fitted straps instead of the stupid clips!

As someone who has made this cowl for cosplayers for years including having a scan of the real one, the cowl looks terrible. It simply isn’t accurate at all from all of the pics and videos I have seen. I bought this because I like the armory itself and will display the suit in it. But I will be printing a different cowl and neck for it. The DX19 cowl is more accurate I hate to say. Agree or not but I have more knowledge on this than the average fan. I will try and make my own video with my cowl scan once my figure arrives to show the differences.

@ it’s just disappointing. From my perspective they went backwards with the cowl. Luckily because I plan to just keep it in the display it will should be easy to swap it over to the scan I have since I don’t want face plates or eyes. If I wanted it as a figure on its own I would have to go with OT as well.

That's the best Bale Batman figure Hot Toys has ever done but the ever-changing heights is asinine, find out the character's height from the rights owner and stick to it, don't fluctuate. If you don't have proper scaling in his hobby, you don't have anything.
