The clutch kit definitely makes a difference. Me and Ron Combs and Jeff Strickland bought our own kit and pieced it together for around 55.00 i believe it was. Our stock clutch engagement was around 2450 ish rpm. Now its 1850 ish. Much better. Stock setup if you were on asphalt and went wide open from dead stop , the clutch would upshift way to fast and within 50 feet power dropped off and rpms , no longer the case with the new setup.

Justin did you use the 1017 or 1021 spring in primary clutch ? Me and Jeff used the 1017 spring and Ron used the 1006 i believe but even the 1012 for me at high idle the secondary would slightly spin at idle which isnt good at all so i went to the 1017 which seems perfect. If the secondary spins at high idle and you put it in gear the trans dont like that lol. I went B3 on secondary is that what you did ? On weights we went 18 gram.

I know what you mean about the default high gear clutch engagement. After applying throttle, It tends to be "engine revs, revs, revs, GO!" There is no "'creep" mode in High Gear. This clutch kit helps to address that issue. Did you notice much change in Low Gear performance? 90% of my riding is in low, over rocks, and desert trails (southern Utah).
@JustinTheCreator3 жыл бұрын
I didn't do much in low gear, but it definitely has a much smoother and much lower engagement on it, as well. I am gonna try to get it out and test it a little more and see what I can get top speed to.
@BlettzaHrekleW3 жыл бұрын
White rabbit , it helps it in low gear also. Clutch Engagement rpm is the same for high or low. Lower engagement makes creeping ahead to load on trailer or anything much smoother.

Thanks Justin... another good video...you and Blake are very helpful. I watched Blake do top speed on stock clutch at about 72 so with yours doing 69 might show the percentage loss... Several more things...first..can you tell if a belt change is doable without removing either or both primaries? and second is my suggestion...there are hinge adjustments on the doors to get the front door edges to line up better with the front trim...pretty easy and shouldnt be an issue on your door panels you added...I like clean lines...lol....just a heads up for you...
