You could turn off battle animations in Red/Blue/Yellow. It's always been a thing. The only catch back then is that they're automatically turned back on for the Champion and can't be turned off (and only for the Champion)

Technically speaking, Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon DO have a Gym Badge ... the Surge Badge at the Malie City Gym!

For HGSS, picking the girl is faster, since Lyra has a longer catching tutorial than Ethan

The 7th Gen games are my favourite games. Period. Mainly because of the story, the Pokémon, the characters, the location, and more. Especially USUM. Loved the Pokémon designs, the Ultra Recon Squad, and the alternate Hau’oli City that Guzzlord is consuming (quite dark, eh?) In fact, my main Pokémon AU, Nanu’s Revenge AU, actually takes place in Alola. 🏝️

Nidoran is not a pokemon yellow thing, you can also get it that easily in Red and Blue, if you head toward the Pokemon League

Respect for doing that. By my knowledge, I assume it'd be faster than the og Gen 4 because the game runs faster & u also get Powerup punch on Monferno tho I doubt it affects the time that much.

For me the problem with sun and moon is the long intro and but overall i do love the games and they hold a lot of nostalgia for me, it just sucks for replaying. I agree tho sword and shield was horrible story, which sucks because i think it couldve been a much better game it they put some effort into it
