I asked about the whereabouts of this album the other day, and here we are! I wonder if JP came across my question.

One of Jim Morrison, s favourite singers was Frank Sinatra. I think you can hear the influence .

William Blake is the one who wrote *The Sick Rose* kzbin.info/www/bejne/gHmVqndra6mImLc (I must see if I can find the parody starting with, "O' Nose Thou art picked ... " )

Robby did an instrumental version of this on his solo album No Habla. First post Doors thing I heard by any of them, and it’s still a favorite. Gave me extra appreciation for this song.

This song reminds me of a novel that I read years ago, SUNGLASSES AFTER DARK, by Nancy A. Collins.

This is a nice track. I always thought their albums were pretty heavy on the filler, though, with the possible exception of LA Woman. 🙃

I think you should check out the Screaming Trees and Mark Lanegan. He has been compared to Jim Morrison but hated it. To bad. I hear the similarities. Marks lyrics are in the vein of Lenard Cohen.

Great song, but i think siouxsie and the banshees version is even better.
