I loved seeing your lithops splitting! I'm new at keeping with Lithops, and I have about a dozen. Some of mine are just now splitting and the babies are peeking through. I had no idea the babies can get that big with the old leaves still on. This was very good to see and to know what to expect, and a great video thank you!

You are most welcome. Many throw away aweful looking Lithops without knowing that the mother plant gave all her good looks to her new baby Lithops. Hopefully all will check their Lithops before discarding them away.

Im new to lithops too; living in malaysia with my first year with all 13 of my lithops has yet to open up their leaves for the new plants to come out. Should I be worried about it as it should already be their shedding time of the year?
@justkeepitsimple30963 жыл бұрын
There is no need to worry. They will shed when they are ready

I split mine into two theres nothing inside so does it means it dying ?
@justkeepitsimple309619 күн бұрын
@@titalis3516 if nothing inside means it is not because of the new leaf growth. Just keep an eye and see how it goes.

I just started my Lithops journey, what is the growing cycle in Malaysia ie months they usually split? flower? since we don't have 4 seasons.
@justkeepitsimple30963 жыл бұрын
Yearly they split once or some will shed once in 2 years. With the right condition they will flower yearly. Growing cycle approximately 1cm per year. But this depends on the Lithops species, some are generally small in size. Overall to achieve all the above, the right conditions ei. Sunlight, soil, watering and ventilation

@@justkeepitsimple3096 Do they have specific months where I shouldn't water? Thank you for answering my questions since it was quite hard to find info about growing Lithops in tropic, most that I found are inconsistent. Also it would be great if you make a video talking about my question above.
@justkeepitsimple30963 жыл бұрын
@@TheCiovy28 Lithops can water when they wrinkle. Other than that, don't water. When they are shedding do not water them. This might confuse their water intake as the new growth consume all from the mother plant.
