Actually Gregor is just a more talkative heavy, as heavy is a rather well read and actually rather kind, he just doesn't express it as much because.... y'know.

It occurs to me that Gregor might have a lot of personal experience with this. We know from his support with Tharja that Gregor is haunted by his brother's death, so much so that he took his name in penance and has never truly gotten over it. I think if we got a look at Gregor as a young man in the aftermath of his brother's death, it wouldn't be at all far-fetched to see him similarly angry (with himself and the bandits as opposed to with humanity like Panne) and similarly trapped by grief over the fate of his brother as Panne is by grief over the fate of her race. It's obvious that the Gregor we know has had a lot of time to mature and see the funny side of things. But I think he probably understands far more about Panne's situation than he ever lets on.

Oh I know!! The Nowi/Gregor pairing really creeps me out. It felt like the game kind of pushed it in that direction, more so Gregor creeping on her saying he wasn't old xD I actually thought Gregor/Panne turned out pretty cute. I could see Gregor as the fun and encouraging parent to Yarne, though a little more energy then Yarne's used to.
