I think the line “hip hop has the scent of humans” is one of the most beautifully well said things. In a world of fake, AI we need things that feel real feel human. Their study and love of hip hop is so real. Let Me Know is fantastic but Jimin just stands out live especially. He went fully nuts on that high note. Ok I’m seeing the vision in Jimin JHope!!

Epik High are fantastic, going strong for 20 years. K-hip hop. They have a new album coming out on Jun 26th. Tablo, their leader, has a masters from Stanford and is frickin hilarious. Joon and Yoongi were inspired to go into rap from Epik High’s “Fly” and have collaborated with and become friends.

Suga produced a song for epik hight called “eternal sunshine” and tablo ft a song of RM called “all day”. Also Tablo composed a song called “song request” for a respected Korean singer lee sora , and ask suga to be ft in that song. All of them highly recommended. Only song request has MV tho.

Let me know what suppose to be on sugas first mixtape but got selected to be a group cuz it was too good. So the “story comes from him” but everytime he got asked about it, specially when it was promoted with this album , he starts to talk about the way it was made ( the productions made by him and also directed the members) or change the topic , but one time on a radio show of that time he said he got inspiration from the story of a friend but the members laugh, so I don’t how true that was lol. As you see this album was to show the rawness of the young love up and downs and how they felt during those times, like also other stuff not just love like stuff that happened around them like the song about hip hop , the social issue of the phone , etc. So that’s why all those songs are like that, honest.

Listening to each album is a great way to learn their discography. I also highly recommend checking out "An Introduction to BTS Discography" by Boracity Magazine, she literally gives a list of everything including all their predebut soundcloud songs & songs for commercials etc. It's actually ridiculous how much music they have especially when you include the free soundcloud songs
