LEE MINHYUK Of BTOB | 'HUTAZONE' Album Listen/Reaction!!!

I always love listening to minhyuk's albums. All the btob members are talented but other members have a specific style/vibe they usually stick to so I don't get super surprised when I listen to their solo stuff. I enjoy the songs ofc, but even before I listen to them, I already have a feeling of what their album is going to sound like, especially since I've been a melody for 7 years. But minhyuk.. I feel like he doesn't stick to a specific genre/vibe and each song in one album often has a completely different style, which makes listening to his albums so fun and interesting. It's like I've become a child who doesn't know what's inside the present. Also, I love how he always experiments with his voice and change his voice depending on the vibe/mood of the song. And the fact that he can rap AND sing AND self-harmonize with his low rap voice and higher vocal voice makes his songs sound more fuller. Because he has a lot of skills, he can play around more with his songs.

Lee Minhyuk is the Ultimate All-Rounder idol, what this man can't do? Every BTOB member is so talented and versatile, each one of them keep to impress me on another new level. Minhyuk's ballad songs can make you senti while it's hard to resist no to dance with his upbeat songs. I almost didn't recognized Minhyuk's voice in some of the songs, wow! he can change his voice that it sounds like I'm listening to another person's voice. This man is gifted.

when you put these songs into the context of minhyuk about to go into the military and not being sure what will happen after he gets out, the songs suddenly become even more poignant but also incredibly sadder 😢 especially the falling blossoms and waiting for you! considering the frequency of new idol groups debuting, and how we somehow tend to divert to new and shiny things, it’s a serious concern and he was so very worried about it. most idol groups tend to lose their shine after completing military service, especially one that isn’t in the big 4. and yet, despite that, btob definitely kept their shine! different from before, but definitely still shining strong! minhyuk’s songs i think… some of them, especially in this album, he wrote for btob, which is why sometimes we get the feeling that it’s a btob song 😂 a good observation about this tho!!

Thank you for a wonderful review Pat! 💙 "All Day" was originally released in Japanese from his first Japanese Album "Summer Diary" in 2018. Check out the choreography practice video and "This is Us" Concert performance ~ it's 🔥🔥 TMI for "Waiting for You" ~ it's a song he wrote from a fan's perspective while waiting for someone. Coz he released this album just right before enlisting in the army. Melody could listen /sing this song while waiting for him 🥰
