I loved 'Mine' the moment I heard it in the album medley, what a fantastic song . 'Mine' was written for aespa back in 2020 even before they were called aespa. Here is a behind story of the song shared by KOLE who is a songwriter for this song : “So I wrote Mine for aespa before aespa was even called aespa. I was at an SM Camp in Seoul and label told us that they were putting together a new girl group. It (aespa) would be edgy, bitchy, badass all of the above. At the time they didn’t have any songs released or demos from the girls for us to listen to, we were really just going off a blank slate. After hearing from the label about what they wanted their new girl group to sound like we sat down and wrote Mine. Now four years later, Mine is on aespa’s debut full length album. I never pitched this song to another artist, it was always meant for aespa”

I agree..it’s a perfect album. Aespa has been stepping lately. They had three killer title tracks in a row with Drama, Supernova, and Armageddon. Then they release an album like this…I think Mine is going to be hard to beat for song of the year…but ARTMS is having their debut release tomorrow, so that song might contend with it. But yeah great album.

Mine is an excellent Bside, I also love Set The Tone and Live My Life. Life my life sounds like a coming of age teen movie in the early 2000's. It has a very nostalgic pop-rock sound. I don't know why when I hear Melody I hear NCT127 singing it as b-side. They always come to serve vocals and cvnt. overall great album.

omg i never heard of someone not liking the savage EP…..😭 I think it’s their most cohesive project so far. however i think this recent album and the my world albums are my personal favorite by them so far. can’t wait for their Japanese debut to see what else they bring to the table

Savage EP was the ish. Personally for me the two new releases where there best ever and career defining but the rest of the album did not live up to anywhere near supernova or Armageddon

I was a bit worried when Supernova released because it doesn't do much for me personally, but this album overall is just great. The back half of the album has to be one of the most solid back halves of any album 😌🤌

They immediately went 7/7 for me until Prologue. I'm still on the fence about Prologue and LML (and I'm not a fan of ballads so I'm sorry Melody) but as a very picky person, this is probably one of my top 3 kpop albums EVER. Big bonus points bc I heavily prefer albums with a wide variety of genres.

@@Goku11723 Tbh I didnt have an exact ranking in mind so I just threw out the number 3 to be safe, but I know NCT - Golden Age is one of them. And likely the other is f(x) - 4 Walls. Yeah Ive been musically brainwashed by SM lol. Do you have fav albums?

@@KY-jd1nl Oh, I've listened to Golden Age and that's a 10/10 album. Haven't heard 4 walls but f(x) have been in my listening list for a while (yeah I listen to whole discographies at once lol) As for my fav albums, I really like Dreamcatcher so their "Tree of Language" would be one and Whee in's "In the mood" album is also one of my favs. Ugg there are a lot more but I can't choose. Thanks for the suggestion btw 🫰
