Since the meaning of the song often flies under the radar, I copy here a comment: The lyrics refers to the German novel Demian by Hermann Hesse (written in 1919) For some reason it is really popular in Korea. (Blood sweat and tears by BTS - and the entire series basically - is also using it as a reference) Quick summary from Wikipedia: The key concepts of the novel are duality and a words play on two worlds "world of light" an "world of illusion". The entire existence of the protagonist (Emil Sinclair, a young boy) can be summarized as a struggle between two worlds: the show world of illusion and the real world. Accompanied and prompted by his mysterious classmate and friend 'Max Demian' he detaches from and revolts against the superficial ideals of the world of appearances and eventually awakens into a realization of self. Max Demian is a childhood friend and a mentor of Sinclair. Demian leads Sinclair to his eventual self-realization, and may be considered Emil's daemon - lesser deity or guiding spirit. Some example references from the Lyric: "I can break through your firmly standing orbit into your universe" two worlds, I want to reach from my fake to your real world. "I can still see the world with half of my heart covered" "hide behind a fake version of me" refers to the internal duality of my true self and what I show to the world, shown at 5:19 in the choreography. The Dami rap section is pretty much the internal battle - struggle - itself (with the venting of anger 6:55). I want to break (7:00 in choreo) this sophisticated egg and move on, aka get rid of the duality and show my true self. It feels the jump of Dami at 6:42 is exactly that breaking out. So all in all big congrats to Sua for this choreography, it is really really good.
