Dearest Zack, Your words spoken about losing a loved one brought me to tears. My precious Son recently passed away suddenly. He was a Paramedic/Firefighter who spent his life helping others (and rescuing animals). I guess his heart was just too big and could no longer beat in this world. My heart is shattered into a million pieces. The person I was died with him that day. I exist day to day no longer connected to this realm. Listening to your podcasts is a distraction for me and in strange way keeps me grounded in this reality. I have a strong faith in God and know I will be with him again. So sorry for ur lost..I too lost my 16yr old son in a car accident. I also rely on God an my faith that ill c my sweet son again..I always say I dialed God up the day I went to the scene an 18 yrs later have not hung up cuz God gets me thru ea day. My life will never b the same but the Lord has helped me live and smile again an I can now speak about my son wo crying everytime. Msy God bless u an ur broken heart an grant u the peace that only he can give❤

If you can't understand why people would be offended by the word monkey, you're either being purposely obtuse or because it's not offensive to you, you don't care. A total lack of empathy. Racist people refer to black people as monkeys. It's not uncommon. I live in Miami and frequently hear people refer to them as "monos" which is monkey in Spanish. Just because a slur is not derogatory to you, does not mean it's not derogatory in general. Please educate yourself, sometimes you're just super insensitive and it's not cute. No one is saying you can't call monkeys at the zoo by their names and I think you're a bit smarter than to truly believe that's what they're saying. It's like saying "a h*e is a garden tool. People are so easily offended". Context changes words. We know this.

He did enter treatment July 19th Records indicate he did complete certain aspects of his court order, like a 10-day detox treatment and home confinement. However, a report was filed that he was “non-compliant” with other aspects relating to alcohol testing and substance abuse treatment. Back in May, court records state that Robert Jr. “tested positive for cocaine, Fentanyl and THC,” when he was initially ordered to enter an inpatient treatment facility. The initial DUI charge stems from an incident back in March 2022. During that arrest, Robert Jr. did not have a driver’s license and was caught throwing cans of beer into a dumpster. Its either going to end up in jail or overdose if he don't get serious about getting clean.

Please keep politics out of the discussion. I tune into this show as a way to escape reality, and unfortunately, extreme narratives from both sides detract from that. I am fearful Mary son os on the dreaded drug that takes life's everyday. If 3 oxygen didn't do it that would be the likley progression. I hope he went to rehab and is doing well. Mary seems so naive to addiction as many parent are. Addiction has nothing to do with willpower. It's like having cancer and think you could treat it by staying home and eating healthy.
