So glad ALMS was the first one. I was at that race in person and saw the finish from the front straight grandstands. That race to this day still gives me chills. Was so amazing to just see them come up over the crest, side by side, hard to tell who was in front. IMO this is the best sports car race in IMSA, maybe even the world. It was a thriller for all 4 hours. IMSA and WEC once even hosted a poll for the best race on twitter 2 years ago, and the 2012 RA race won. I think it also won SC365's Sports Car Race of the Decade. Basically, if you have 4 hours to kill, watch that race.
@alexda67893 жыл бұрын
I was also at the 2019 Michelin Pilot race at RA. From a fan's perspective, that was just insane. TV doesn't do it justice with the rain. I would've shown IMSA's closest overall finish though, as that's usually who the race winner is, and not the class winner.

NASCAR teams own multiple race trucks/cars, built for certain types of tracks. The models/designs change every year, sometimes even halfway through a season. Some teams have as few as 2 or 3, some teams have more than 40 or 50. The one Cleet got is very, very unlikely to have been raced more than a half-dozen times, if at all. Also, there aren't any "winner" stickers on the driver-side window panels.

Something this video demonstrates really well is that the timing is only 1 part of it and doesn't tell the full story - when you get into proper photo finishes, the speed the vehicles are travelling (and therefore the distance travelled) is worth being aware of as well. If we look at two different photo finishes with the same margin of victory by time, the finish between the slower vehicles will actually have been a closer finish and for that reason, I really appreciated the way this video represented slower categories as well.

Even though the closest F1 finish in this video was from 1960s, we should realise that all 4 cars in that pack were fighting for the win. Just imagine losing one of the most prestigious podium in motorsport while finishing under two tenths of a second behind the race winner and 0.2s behind third place... and at Monza out of all places.

Yeah I think this serves to show us how far F1 has jumped the shark. I want a good race not pomp and circumstance. They make it feel more like a rich person’s spectacle than a racing series. Try and act like it’s exciting to see the same Red Bull team winning every race every time. Oh and before that it was Mercedes. Or Ferrari. Never been enough parity. Always one team crushing the rest. Why bother watching when I know the outcome? I’ve only guessed wrong once so far this year on whether or not Max will win the race again…

being beaten at the line is one of the most soul destroying things ever, in f1 22 i had a completely compromised setup in the rain at canada, led every lap of the race, defended so well, just for the final corner at the wall of champions to run a little wide to have a drag race to the finish to be beaten by 0.012. My day was ruined

I love how the closest finish in NASCAR Truck Series history is at my local track. Rarely is there ever a boring finish at CNS. 😁

MX-5 Sebring: .013 between first and THIRD on the heels of Race 1 at Daytona where the top 11 were covered by less than 1 second

I was hoping to see the 4 wide indy lights finish on here (0.0026). But holy cow, the one in that spot was 0.0005. Crazy.
