HAPPY 21st BIRTHDAY HAILEY

It’s a tradition or family that whoever’s birthday it is once they go to bed we decorate the whole downstairs and get their presents and their cake ready to go so when I wake up in the morning they come down to a decorated house to celebrate their birthday. They also get a pic where they want to go to lunch and because it was Hailey’s special birthday I want to get her pedicure and do something special for her. We had a really nice day it was nice to be able to celebrate JP’s birthday too he is a friend of my boys and they want to do something nice for him and he also turn 21 so it was a double party with double the fun.

My sons both got a credit card, use it for gas and pay it off every month. Never have a balance. They are 20 and 23 now and are both buying houses this year. They have built their credit since they were 18! It can definitely be done.

U know being a 90’s kid, malls have always been everything since the 80’s! But to see so many malls empty it’s kinda eerie….. everyone just says to shop online, but some of us still like to see and smell things…… sad moment in a shopper’s history!

You need a 25K Generac generator setup with a transfer switch and it hooked up to your power company box so when the power goes out the Generac will come on by itself. My husband bought our Generac from Northern Tool Company. Worth buying.

She should have a credit card for emergencies. But also a cash back card that has a higher percentage back is great to use for gas and groceries - two things she’ll obviously be spending on the regular and I’m sure not be tempted to spend past her means.

That's what my kids did started with a $200 credit card and went from there she worked had a baby and bought a house with her partner and they have a car and put money away for their daughter and I'm so proud they are only 24.

They told my daughter in order to build her credit is to get 2 credit cards, use them once a month and pay them off every month. Do that a few times and it helped. Not once or twice a year. EVERY MONTH

That is what I was taught and now my credit score is 819 and I got up to 828. Best advice and take it just get one with a low amount to spend.

If you use a gas credit card(Sunoco, Citgo, etc), you can request extras with anyone in your family. Always pay on time, complete(of course). Will establish good credit score without them getting their own credit card.

I know I'm a little late, but I would encourage you to give your kids a little more faith financially. My husband (then fiancé) added me to his credit card when I was 18 (him 19). We were married at 19/20. We have always used credit cards for our purchases, paying them off every month! We had our first house on our own credit, no co-signer, at 20/21.

I just thought it was funny and understandable you didn’t agree a 21 year old should have a credit card, but yet you said she is part owner of the family farm and runs the family farm and is buying a house. If she can do all that, she can manage a credit card with your guidance. All the kids have bright futures, moved off property and still help with farm and such a close family. Wonderful. I didn’t have parents to guide my career when I was young much less buying a home or building credit. Those kids are beyond blessed.
