The art is great but the story is lame. So ambicious yet such a bad pace. Plus ending a film with a cliff hanger is trash. That shit is for media like series but movies (sequel prequel whatever) should always be auto-conclusive. Thats why there is a distinction between movies and series. But the worst part is the idea of presenting something so massive like a multiverse and everything feeling like a clownish version of americian stereotypes. Such lame writing. Beautifull film but overrated and overprotected AF. Facts.

my man you are literally 12 first of all, the new spiderman is an eyesore, you don't know what you're looking at half of the time. Second, it's easier on the budget, considering the low frames that the characters move at. A. The multi verse trope is VERY OBVIOUSLY what they're talking about. And yes, it's getting tired. It's not original, just because it's a character we like...liked. B. Uh definitely debatable. I just did the same thing. I couldn’t believe there are people out there that would give this masterpiece a bad rating. This movie had me going Krazy and I’m not the kind of person that just say every good movie is a masterpiece. Well, clearly, these critics are...*clears throat*...hold on...*takes a sip on water*...racists. Yeah. It is their go-to claim for any movie they like and everyone else hates. But, when a literal black lead character, original mind you, does better than a blackface "reimagining" of an European Folklore story. That is what they hate. They hate how something ORIGINAL does better than their hack film. And yes people, Miles is an original character. As much as he is a Spider-Man. He is his own Spider-Man. I feel like it was super overhyped, everyone was like “This is so epic” “The ending is crazy” But in actuality spot was barely in the movie at all and most of the movie was just miles being confused but the ending is the biggest letdown. I was expecting miles to save his dad or something but the ending was so random and out of pocket and it had nothing to do with miles at all. I was so disappointed because of how hyped up it was Side note: there was ONE PEICE OF DIALOGUE of the other spider people from the 1st movie besides Peter where that schoolgirl said “miles” AND THATS IT? In a general sense? No it isn’t. There are movies where everybody dies and that’s it, no sequel. The point I was making is that even though Infinity War had another part of the story to tell(Endgame), the minute itself had its own story that was told. A beginning, middle and end. With the spider verse movies some people may get the sense that somebody just paused it and called it the end.

Please tell me what was unoriginal about a multiversal spiderman society trying to stop a kid because they believe that canon events exist and that they need to happen in order for the multiverse to stay intact? And of course they ignored the original characters. Part of the plot, if you did watch it, was that Miles was alone. He has almost no real friends and missed all of his spider-man friends because they were supposed to be separated forever, until one of them shows up. I don’t think the plot or anything was boring, the worst part was it just was the beginning. The real action hasn’t started yet.

They are simply recreation and combinations of ideas from comics… so in that sense nothing is original if you are speaking like that. Also i’m almost certain the “canon events” is a misconception by Miguel. It’s not the events, it feels like something to do with incursions. I think the canon events is supposed to be stupid because it’s actually not true. And only one of them made a cameo and it was simply to show the depression in her. And are we gonna forget about how it takes money to get cameos and such? to hire people… Plus, what’s wrong with bringing in new characters? It wouldn’t be a multiverse if there was only a set amount of characters being introduced.

If the movie did turn around and show Miguel being wrong about canon events it would certainly make it a bit better. Considering the logic used for most of them is shakier than a rope ladder. Idk why you brought up money to hire people considering it’s a massive movie fronted by a company that can certainly afford it. And the last one is really just my opinion, I vastly prefer small groups interesting characters to large groups of short gag cameos.
