I am very happy to share my new video with you! It was the first time for me performing Beethoven‘s magnificent c minor concerto. Right after the concert I was fortunate to go on a three-concerts-tour to Germany with the Karlovy Vary Symphony Orchestra and Maestro Košik. I was very excited to prepare this concerto. It is so dramatic and at the same time something like music from heaven, especially the second movement in E major.

Sagenhaft! Ich habe dieses Werk schon so oft gehört, gespielt von den ganz Großen: Glenn Gould, Martha Argerich, Zimerman, und anderen. Justus Eichhorn kann sich definitiv mit diesen Größen messen Chapeau bas.

Ich möchte das Talent dieses Jugendlichen keinesfalls klein reden. Aber diese zelebrierte Eitelkeit, das Theater, die Vortäuschung von tiefen Gefühlen, das alles geht mir gewaltig auf die Nerven und verpestet den echten und reinen Ausdruck. Der Anschlag ist häufig grob und hart, der Körper nicht zentriert, sondern krumm und hart in den Schultern. Solch ein Klavierspiel braucht niemand, weil es abertausende junge Pianisten gibt, die mit diesem sehr äußerlichen Ausdruck und auf technisch eher mittleren Niveau spielen. Dieser junge Musiker sollte sich lieber für einige Jahre aus dem öffentlichen Konzertleben zurückziehen und ernsthaft an sich arbeiten. Aber ich fürchte, dass er jetzt schon von Eitelkeit zerfressen ist und zu keiner gesunden Selbstkritik fähig ist.

Ce tout jeune garçon n'a rien à envier aux grands pianistes célèbres et expérimentés. Son interprétation de ce monument de l'Histoire de la Musique est inouïe, fabuleuse, tout simplement à couper le souffle ! Les mots ne sont pas assez forts pour exprimer ce que je ressens après l'avoir entendu jouer ce qui est mon concerto préféré (tous instruments et tous compositeurs confondus). eine jugendliche und erfrischende Begeisterung für das Klavierspiel ist spürbar. Möge ihm diese Begeisterung lange erhalten bleiben und er nicht der Versuchung erliegen, sich in der gnadenlosen Konkurrenz des Klassikbetriebes mit seinen Klavierwettbewerben und Auswahlkriterien der Musikmanager zu verlieren. Das klassische Konzertpublikum wird allemal schrumpfen und es gilt, seine eigene Generation der Jüngeren für seine Interpretationen zu begeistern. Justus has to be Ludwig brought back to life? I can imagine the composer playing the piano with passion, gusto and pride as this. cih wollte eigentlich vor dem Schlafengehen nur mal fix und kurz ins Video reinhören. Aber da war nichts mit "fix mal reinhören" . Das war so ein wundervolles Konzert mit einem sehr talentierten jungen Pianisten , da konnte ich einfach nicht schlafengehen! Ich musste erst das Konzert komplett anhören und geniessen! Danke für die schöne Musik!

What can you say? The acoustics of that hall are wonderful, and the recording engineer caught them perfectly. The orchestra is top-notch, the conducting excellent - the piece itself is delightful. BTW - who's the kid? Pretty good.

L'ho riascoltato per l'ennesima volta e sempre trovo una forza in quelle giovani mani , una agilità , una vitalità che ho trovato solo in grandi artisti del passato . Ogni commento negativo potrebbe essere frutto di incompetenza o di mancanza di conoscenza di come anche i più grandi artisti suonavano vivendo con emozione ed espressioni la forza e la bellezza della musica del grande Beethoven. Wenn man nur zuhört, ist die Interpretation ganz akzeptabel. Aber dem Pianisten mit seiner völlig überzogenen Show am Flügel zuzusehen, ist geradezu unerträglich.

Was erlauben Sie sich? Ein (sehr) junger Mann geht gefühlvoll in der Musik auf und interpretiert nicht nur auf den Tasten, sondern nebenbei geradezu tänzerisch mit seinem ganzen Körper hochkomplexe und anspruchsvollste Musik. Man scheint ihm in die Seele blicken zu können. Es ist berührend, mitreißend und immer passend zum Werk. Ich bin sehr dankbar für die Nahaufnahmen und hoffe, Sie machen einfach die Augen zu und sparen sich in Zukunft solche Kommentare, die einen jungen Künstler verunsichern könnten. Möge er weiter so spielen wie es ihm gefällt!

He needs to play his own style and the way he feels his music. It makes me feel the music more when pianists show their emotion! I love everything about the way he plays! And ignorant comments need to be ignored!!
