🥶CAMPING IN ZERO DEGREES🥶

In this weeks episode we experience camping in zero degrees. Something we haven't experienced before.
We keep on track to our high country trip with our mates and we continue to to try our luck at fishing. We have many more camp fires and even share a quick sandwich over the fire.
Bob hurts himself and we have to put everything down and find the closest vet to have him checked out.
We explore more what the Mitta Mitta area has to offer and climb the range from Mitta Mitta to Omeo Vally.

Love the fishing 🎣. Little tip when you target trout with your lures. Cast up stream. As the trout will sit facing the flow of water.

A river fishing tip Derryck, you dont need to cast out into the middle of the river. Fish the banks and structures and try to stay out of the current particularly when it is strong

Hi guys. Love your filming. Re that gum tree down on the waters edge. They are also known as widow makers. Gums are fast growing ( tall) but lack a decent tap root. They just rely on a shallow root system. Steer clear of parking and camping underneath those suckers.

Love the episode as usual. Now, Derick if you want to catch a fish, get rid of the cheese & buy some worms or get a shrimp trap. Look for a spot in the river that kind of runs backwards usually downstream of a sandbar or an internal bend. Glad Bob was ok.

Hi D&S, what I do with my Breville Bambino is put it in the front boot on my Zone along with a 10l box of water. Don’t make a shit load of noise in the morning while my wife is laying in. Cups, coffee is in outdoor kitchen. Milk accompanies me out of the van to make coffees! Takes up very little room in the van boot and it’s a low impact ride. No need to clutter up van. I know last episode I mentioned to fish near structure I forgot to mention as well I always fish cod using a running ball sinker and I put two small red beads sitting on top of the hook as they stand out in merky water

Putting a lot of effort in on the fishing 😁 Fuel economy is actually not too bad considering the size of the chev. On the standard tyres and no mods towing our van I can comfortably say it's around 18-21L per 100km and so far only a small bit of amble. I think once the mods start happening it will go up a bit
