Also, if we look at what you're saying everyone has a trauma and everyone is sensitive for them. Don't say, 'well, Tomioka is more emotional than others' Maybe he is but that doesn't change the fact that he is a full grown man & a hashira. Do you really think he cries everytime he remembers his past? Nah, he feels regret the most not sadness and we see that in anime and manga.

⁠​⁠@@Sheesh1szI’m not saying it’s every time, but if literally videos of his trauma is put in front of him then that’s not the same as somebody just mentioning something similar, and crying isn’t a response only to sadness, it’s a response to fear, regret, and many other negative emotions. Also I had social anxiety and yet whenever I was reminded of a major part of my trauma I would have a really hard time keeping myself from breaking down and having a panic attack.
