Juvenile came through for his first-ever VladTV interview, and he started off by detailing his early life growing up in the projects of New Orleans and seeing a lot of violence before he was a teenager. He then detailed his brief time in the streets, which he realized wasn’t for him and led to him fully focusing on his music career. Moving along, Juvenile explained how he first linked up with Cash Money and convinced them to pay him to quit a good-paying, blue-collar job to pursue a career as an artist. Juvenile also detailed forming the Hot Boyz with B.G., Turk, and Lil Wayne, which saw monster success ahead of their hugely successful solo careers. To hear more, including dropping “Back That Thang Up” and DMX tour stories, hit the full interview above.

Juve deserves more respect than he receives. This is the guy that ushered cash money into the behemoth that it was. Wayne carried them through the mid 2000’s and early 2010’s, but it was Juve that dropped the hottest album the imprint had seen before Wayne’s run. Seems like a really humble, sincere guy.

That was his brother Corey who was talking at the end and who he kept looking at. I like how Juvie didn’t answer a lot of the questions. This man is still in New Orleans. Why would he talk about slim’s killer? It made perfect sense. He said he blame Slim’s surrounding and left it at that. He said enough with that. That was streets ish. Slim is my favorite southern artist by the way.. VLad slid the Yella boi question in there too. That was also street ish so yeah I’ll pass on that too. Also Juvenile still have a deal with cash money, so why would he throw Baby and Slim under the bus during this interview, u feel me. Wrong questions for sure.. This interview could’ve lasted longer. He could’ve asked him about TI song “Beat down Low” and why he turned that song down when Mannie Fresh tailored made it just for him. Hence, that’s why TI said in the intro of that song “Ima show these ni***s what to do with one ur beats man”. Have you notice they (Ti & Juvie) never recorded together. He could’ve dived into that.. He could’ve also asked more about Skip and Wacko etc. So much more potential was in this interview. Too bad it ended like that
