Juventud and the other WCW Cruiserweights were legendary. I remember the match at Road Wild 1998 where Juvi beat Chris Jericho where Dean Malenko was the referee, and Malenko helped Juvi cheat to win the title.

He's describing what I thought, and still think of, as the reason why WCW was so much better than WWE at the time. WCW had epic light weight/junior weight matches that really eclipsed the matches that you would see in the WWE. I remember 6-man lucha matches that would last 20+minutes full of incredible stunts. You could switch over to WWE and all you would see was talking and production videos.

Every cruiser weight in WCW were the real stars of Nitro. I had more fun watching the LWO and the Lucha libre wrestlers than any thing else on that show. It was beautiful and entertaining.

Too bad WCW was so dysfunctional at the top. The night I turned on Nitro and saw Vince standing in the ring...was the last night I tuned in to anything. Now I just watch old matches and shoot videos on KZbin and listen to the AOW podcast. I miss good rasslin'.
