Video interview with WWE NXT Superstar Jaida Parker before a WWE NXT show on Saturday, May 18, 2024 at the Havert L. Fenn Center in Fort Pierce.
Parker (Tiana Caffey) grew up in Port St. Lucie, which is about 15 miles from Fort Pierce. Her family still lives there as her father, Tim, is the football coach at Jensen Beach High School, where she starred as a midfielder in soccer.
Parker -- who competed for Lakeland FC, Space Coast United and Wellington FC -- also made the U.S. U17 girls' national soccer team, before embarking on a successful college career at NCAA Division I LSU.
An ACL injury stymied her soccer journey, but she returned and completed her college career while earning a college degree in Sports Administration with a concentration on business. She interned with a sports agency, learning about negotiating contracts and business deals.
After teams from the NWSL pro women's soccer league did not draft her, she turned her attention to WWE, the biggest and most lucrative pro wrestling company in the world. Actually WWE reached out to her via social media. Initially, she thought it was fake, but her manager told her it was real, and she attended a tryout in Dallas, leading to WWE signing her.
Parker, 25, relocated to the WWE Performance Center, WWE's training site in Orlando under the direction of Matt Bloom, Sara Amato and HBK Shawn Michaels.
She learned the art of professional wrestling -- how to wrestle, how to entertain. She made her pro wrestling debut in September 2023.
Currently, Parker is a member of the heel faction OTM (Out The Mud) with Scrypts, Bronco Nima and Lucien Price.
Parker's father played football, and her mother, Tina, played basketball at Livingston University (now known as the NCAA Division II University of West Alabama). Her brother, Timmy, played football for NCAA Division I Florida A&M in Tallahassee and NCAA Division III Becker College in Leicester, Massachusetts. Her cousin, Jason, played basketball for the Chicago Bulls during the Michael Jordan era.
Not only was she successful in soccer, but she was also an accomplished softball player. In 2013, she helped her travel softball team win the Florida ISA State Championship and the Senior League State Championship. In 2015, she was on a winning USSA national championship team.
In November 2022, Parker became a Beautiful Ballers athlete to inspire others.

Parker graduated Jensen Beach High School in 2017. She graduated from LSU in 2021. She is still learning, working toward a pro wrestling style degree at the WWE PC.
In her biggest match to date, Parker is in a battle for the inaugural NXT Women's North American Championship, competing with Sol Ruca, Lash Legend, Fallon Henley and two more opponents (TBD) in a ladder match at NXT Battleground on Sunday, June 9 from the UFC Apex, home base of UFC in Las Vegas. This WWE premium event will stream live on Peacock.
