As an owner, I can say it really is a bargain. Most people want double-down or large screens. This unit puts its money where it counts--the processing capabilities. I've had a 750 buck Nakamichi, and this one is superior in every way--exvept maybe cassette playing, which is now obsolete anyway. BUY IT! You won't be sorry.

yea this thing is awesome, i dont see why people spend 500 plus on a dual din radio when you can spend 20 on a phone mount and use even more features. as long as the single din has bluetooth and a usb, it works. this is just the icing on the cake.

Couple of solid selling points for me are the 3 way crossover (which I believe allows bandpass capability) and the on-board time alignment. Obviously not as elaborate or multi-featured as a stand alone processor but, definitely adequate. Hard to pass on it at the current retail price point of $130.

I have a JVC R870bt from a few years back. Got it on ebay for $40 shipped. Amazing performance and sounds fantastic. 4v preouts, bluetooth, etc.

Great device, reminds me of my first stereo boombox. It was a JVC PC-XT3. But back to topic: some ppl are reporting incorrect time shown on display, after turning ignition off and on again. Here is a simple fix: In some cars, you have to swap the yellow and red wire, yellow is for all-time-current to keep up memory, the other wire runs to the battery. And of course: don't forget updating the firmware regularly.

The Amazon link in the description to purchase the head unit leads to a different model that only includes two pre outs at 2.5 volts. I purchased the one using that link expecting it to have 3 outs but oh well. I’m not an expert on car audio and I just plan on using the built-in amp anyway so it’s fine - just looking forward to having modern features in my car. Otherwise great video! Thanks.

I will mention that if one were willing to sacrifice the CD player the JVC KD-X370 includes 3 pre outs at 4 volts. Not a fan of the naming scheme with these since JVC have many that look the same with slightly different name (my situation for example).

I got mine from walmart. Do not buy remote separately. It should come with radio already mine did I got the. Same. R69os. Sama as this one. Sound really. Gd all features are amazing The only thing i hate. So much. Is the bottom to change stations. Left of the volume. Oh my god. When ur driving this bottom is apain in the butt. Hard to use. To the point. That u give up. So make sure to set ur stations. Before u drive. But. Then everything else. Is super kool. My system sound way better now than my old radio. 😁

I don't have this one, but I do have the JVC KD-X370 BTS. I love the sound quality on phone calls from the external microphone. To me that's much more important than a giant touchscreen. However, I wish the main display could be turned up brighter in daylight.

It has a volume limiter built-in. It practically won't LET you go into clipping.

It's not 5v output 'to 35', it's 5v 'at' 35. Unfortunately the voltage output gets lower as the volume is reduced

I have this head-unit volume at 35 is noticeably way louder then 34. Almost sounds distorted. Update I used my Smd dd1 to see where distortion starts at 35. 34 you are safe

Just bought the kd sr86bt the cheap Walmart version, probably gonna bring it back for the 915 as it only has front and rear 2.5V RCA. Does this microphone have no cord or does it have a cord? This is a corded microphone, it plugs into a device that can make bluetooth calls. That's all. Do you plug your headset into your phone and call it a bluetooth / wireless headset? My guess is, probably you do.

Yes, it does. Its divided oddly--not by octaves or fractions thereof but arbitrary--the first two are 62.5 Hz and 100 Hz, then 160, 250, 400, 630, 1kHz, 2.5 4.0, 6.3, 10 and 16kHz. The bandwidth is also adjustable.
