The leaf switch under the pause button would need to be addressed. Noticed the green LED did not light on the front panel when it is pressed. This will cause the tape run circuit to attempt to disengage the mech resulting in the pause button popping up followed by a nasty metal on metal sound :-)

hello. great video. I'm subscribing. I have this jvc M70, but the VU meters don't move. only gentle movements... can I fix it? what should I focus on or do I need to replace the VU meters themselves?

Hello. I would start with the record-playback switch. Most often, problems with this equipment are either due to the switch or potentiometers. Contact is lost due to oxidation.

Hi, how do you select the mains voltage on these? It says ok on 240 and 110v so is there a switch for that?

Hi. This switch is located on the lower right, next to the power cable connector. Such a switch is available only in JVC M 70, in Victor M 70 there is no such switch.

I think you can use JVC RC-M70 in Japan but not Victor RC-M70 in the rest of the world.

Очень большая разница. Это два разных аппарата. Хотя концепция у них одна.

Laoczi2007 Vladimir Я ни разу не слышал звучание м90 но прослушал много м70 и имею представление Как должен звучать 70 ый!...Вы наверное удтвитесь но отлично звучащий м70 мне больше нравиться чем Шарп 777!...)))

Я не слышал звучания M90, но звучание M70 очень и очень мягкое и глубокое. Не могу назвать себя большим специалистом или крутым коллекционером винтажных японских магнитол (геттобластеров), но я видел и слышал несколько культовых аппаратов и моя любимая марка (из тройки Toshiba, Sharp и JVC) именно JVC! И все же я попробую ответить на Ваш вопрос) M90 - замечательная магнитола и безусловно одна из самых лучших, если играет роль Только дизайн! Несмотря на то, что аккустические системы у M90 больше, играет она на 3+ и наверняка является Худшей по звучанию, не только по сравнению с такой классикой JVC как M70, но и естесственно по сравнению с топовыми аппаратами других японских компаний (Тoshiba RT-S90, Sony CFS-99, etc) Просто посмотрите на внутренности M90 - ее брутальный внешний вид абсолютно не соответсвует тому, что у нее внутри...
