In Huntsville Al when this box came out it was $479.95 here...and I bought the JVC jw550 for $325.95. Now I have all the JVC line up and the most of the big Panasonic line up...the Rx 5090, Rx 5500, 5700, 5350

Peace, Nice boombox!! Hope you found the treble knob. You dropped it that day when you were unrolling the box. Look at 3:32, it's attached. Now look at 3:37 on this video, and watch it fall out onto the ground. I have both the M90 and this one. Very nice box. Enjoy.. Blessings..

When you opened the green bag, the treble balance button next to the volume fell off. And surely now it is not. It matters that the video is from 8 years ago

I acutally bought this to have one of this model again & to show it in reference to 'other' boombox's. I would Like to have the cassette deck repaired someday. I aggree that the led light upgrade is a very worthwhile upgrade & distinction!

When you were opening the green bubble wrap off the JVC boom boom, one of the sliders detached from the top left of the box that it was attached to, and fell forwards off of the table onto the floors or pavement... !!! Hop you did find it before now ! Great Video !!! Look for your part, as it may still be laying on the ground out there !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Whoops... 4 years ago... Did you find it ?????

Please if you could let me know why my rc838jw is coming out of just the right side, that would be great!!!!! I think you had one with the same problem. Anyway, it is on CL for 250 OBO, battery cover is there, tape plays clear and at right speed also both antennas except for the top thick piece being missing. anyway. for a 78 it is hard to find something like this. let me know. Please. only on bi-phonic it comes through both speakers

It looks minty fresh. If you decide to open to fix the cassette, I recommend trying also an Led upgrade looks cool :)

You can purchase bubble wrap by the roll at the box package / ups / fedex /post office / office supply store :) . I buy my bubble wrap at the box superstore ! Where would I send to? I prefer the RC-550 over almost any other boombox ever made - If I only Could pick just to have :) p.s. I have almost the complete model line-up in the notable JVC boombox's worth videoing.

I appreciate the thought, though I would suggest turning down your computer speaker's volume, when viewing my future 1080p HD Video's as I am using a Canon Vixia HF M41 - which has fully adjustable attenuation for the micprohone's - so when the sound is soft - it is soft and when it is LOUD - You are Simply GONNA HEAR it, ok? I am simply tired of Hearing to flat sound in all of these video's out there having a stereo sound but it's flat and you cannot tell if the radio is REALLY Loud or not :)

Yes it does - and that is why So Many People Like this model M70- that Cannot afford the M90 as it's so pricey. Also the M70 is more Plentifull or more commonly found for sale for Much less, the average price for a good one fully working is roughly $300.00

Not any more. I’ve just picked up a brand new/old stock JVC RC M70L and it cost way more than that, however it is complete in original box will all the original documents and bank tape etc all still in the wrapped bags.

@@amnril a very long time ago around 2008 or so I bought someone else's collection which included a unopened new in the box JVC M70 which I sold for $3,200 so I don't know what you paid for yours but that's what I sold that one for. I also had a JVC RC 838 new in the box unopened which I told her 1500
