I heard this song a couple weeks after my grandpa died. Last time I saw him I was high as duck. When I left that day he put his hand on my shoulder and said "I love you son. I know it can be hard some days but I know you can do it." I told him it was a new medication. This old Vietnam vet who took me off the street when I was a teenager, (long before drugs, whole different kind of story)... This man whose whole family adopted me in as another one of the kids... Last time I saw him he hugged me and said he loved me no matter what... I lose my mind every time I hear this song. But I find it so hard to cry around anyone else... Thank jvke, your music always reaches somewhere deep for me and helps me get out what needs to come out. I love you Grandpa.

Yeah, same! when I first listened to it, I didn't really associate it with a loved one dying. I definitely relate to it because i had (kinda have) a friend that I had in elementary school since 4th grade, since he moved there, and now he goes to a different school. I can relate to this song because I lost my mom when I was in kindergarten and the worst part about it was it was on Mother’s Day when you wanna see the person you love the most on their day and they leave you. It was heartbreaking because maybe if I would’ve just saw her sooner maybe I should wait to gave her a present but now I guess everything happens for a reason, but sometimes I regret not going earlier.

I lost someone I looked up to and still do to this day.His name is Edd Gould(look him up if you wanna know more about him),he was an animator and KZbinr. He passed away from cancer way too young he was only 23.I was 4. Even though I never got to meet the guy I still miss him .This all happened in 2012 but I still miss him to this day and this song reminds me of the good times of Edd and sad times when he was in the hospital.Gonna miss you buddy.Thanks JVKE for making this beautiful song.

I lost my father two months ago and since then, every day feels like torture. I hope the night comes quickly so I can go to bed and wait for the next day to begin. I don't care about anything else. Without him, everything else feels meaningless. I hadn't listened to music for a long time, every song I put on felt like noise punishing my brain or everything sounded too "happy" and it's something I don't want to feel right now. It's been almost six years now since I lost my mom. I can proudly say that I'm healing more and more each day. But during the last couple years, I tried so hard to not think about her cuz whenever I think about her, I felt literal pain in my heart and my head. Losing her was the biggest pain in my life.
