JW Marriott MALDIVES Overwater Villa

Vacation to Maldives in an overwater villa. We took a float plane to the JW Marriott. The trip was awesome. Lots of good food and snorkeling. Highly recommended. =

Thanks, we ran into a few schools like this. We also saw a school of baby reef sharks while scuba diving but I didn’t have a camera that could go deep enough to capture the moment.

Yes, turns out your not allowed to use a drone. I found that out after a few days.

@@SuperDylanhall You need to have a drone license and you need to ask the resort for permission to fly & film with it. I travel to Maldives twice a year, always trying new resorts and I've never had any issues. Just be kind when asking the staff for permission to fly and make sure to explain to them that you won't be disturbing other people's privacy.

How many nights would you recommend?

We stayed 6 nights and I thought that was a perfect amount. There are people that stay two weeks, and some that stay two days. I would say whatever you can make work is the right amount, it’s truly an amazing place.

The Maldives is an Islamic nation. The airport is in Malé. You cannot bring in Bible, pornography videos, pork products, alcohol, etc. etc. If you want to bring in weed, you will be spending some amazing free nights in their prison. Enjoy. 😁
