JW Marriott South Beach, Singapore, “The long walk” Twin Room

When the new JW Marriott opened at South Beach there was a lot of buzz, so I decided to check it out. While the public areas such as the pool, restaurant venues and lobby are all grand, luxurious and act as captivating eye candy; I was admittedly disappointed with the standard rooms. The interior carpet designs and decor I found to be a bit headache inducing with the white and black stripes, and I also found the lodgings to be quite small and mediocre. From what I have seen online even the junior suite doesn't look appealing, though the higher category suites do entice me to give the property another go. The food on offer is good, the club lounge excellent and very generous with their cocktail and canapé hours, and as I said, I loved the public areas and the design language of the lobby and common areas. Just don't get yourself the standard room if you can help it, at least, in my opinion.
