Not really. Dual scaling means shes actually more forgiving than traditional dps's. Getting rolls in break effect isn't going to be a miss, whereas traditional DPSs you just want as many crit stats as possible. It's harder to just get crit rolls, and you can have a servicable xueyi with less relic rolling.

She is not hard to build but to optimize / balance . I have lot of Quantum set with high to mid BE lvl . You also need a luck to get her at E4 . We all know this is Mihoyo gacha games so Devs gonna milking money somehow . I'm disappointed that her extra BE DMG unlock at E4 . At least put it E1 . Her E2 should be on base kit . What Xueyi need is lightcone : for every ( insert number % ) of wearer break effect , Increase crit rate 3% & crit DMG by 6% .

Xueyi is benefiting sooooo much from it. Fight elites in SU or any other MoC turbulence… you’re not killing max levels in one break with her on a hypercarry comp… Otherwise, I appreciate your video and showcases. I really enjoy Xueyi and her kit, and I’ve built her myself as she’s my first quantum DPS. And as much as I’m enjoying her and think she’s a great unit, that one break argument just does not stand without the turbulence doing half of the elite’s HP worth of damage because you shredded so much toughness in one cycle.

Thats what I dont like about his point is mostly based on current moc, if you break but dont kill Ruan Mei is sadly gonna cause some dps loss for Xueyi.. its not the end of the world but its undeniable she just want to break ennemies as frequently as possible and if already held back by quantum weakness which slows them and need to be stacked Its just a thing to consider that things aren't gonna go this well for all mocs cause that one reward too much breaking and finished the ennemies for you

@@Adan.2005 I'm not going to fully disagree, it's just I'm not completely convinced that in a neutral battlefield, Ruan Mei's buffs outclass Bronya's extra turn + ult. Yes, Ruan Mei gives 150% break effect (amongst many other things), but a speed tuned Bronya gives Xueyi two turns, and thus 200% break effect. What this showcase illustrates is that in this current MoC environment, a team of Ruan Mei and Pela outclass a team of Ruan Mei and Bronya, but I don't think we can automatically generalize this data set for most situations (or even come to a conclusion that Bronya is a relatively poor support for her). It seems with my line of thinking is similar to that of @Lew98765 - totally agree with what he said!

Im surprised you didn’t mention Tingyun as her next best companion to Ruan Mei. Not only does she cycle the ult faster, good atk buff, but also Tingyun scales off on Xueyi’s dmg percentages and Tingyuns follow up attack does a ATON of dmg when paired together.

Before watching any guide I like to build the character myself and test it myself and seeing what they lack on and if I can fix it before going on the internet. When I saw the results between my E6 Xueyi and my E1S1 Ruan Mei I was very perplexed to find many CCs telling me that they had anti-sinergy because for me that wasn't absolutely the case and this video finally showed me that I wasn't completely an idiot 🙏🏻

Since xueyi can amplified any element because of her trace passive, you can build tingyun for boost electro damage, 60/120 crit value and 150 break effect should be good, if you have better relic, good now you have tingyun who hit like 10k plus

Just a little thing I noticed in the first half showcase 1, you used your Ult with Ruan Mei before her turn started. This reduces her Ult duration by 1 turn. Great video btw, unfortunately I was unable to get any eidolons for my Xueyi and saving for Kafka now.

Glad you are back! Your first show case is like a play by play of my own run, right down to Fu Xuan hitting the side bug to ensure break. One thing that can happen in the run is if the mage + knight start the fight and hit xueyie first, you can actually have her ult the mage earlier and possibly save a cycle.

For me the main “double edge sword “ came with using SW in the comp with Ruan mei. She deals so much toughness damage that she can easily steal breaks from Xueyi if you aren’t careful. And she leaves less toughness for Xueyi to damage which can slow down the follow ups

The reason there is so much misinformation in ANY community is because most players don't have a single spec of knowledge of the game they play and have to rely on content creators who can literally tell them anything and it be taken as fact. Smack finally back and kicking the banger content. I also happen to have an E3 Xueyi! And I've come to know that playing her with the shield breaking and the follow-ups is so much fun. Great to learn as well that we don't need to invest too much Break Effect on her even if we can reach 240% and instead go for Crit stats. It's expensive but it'll be fun once she's fully built :D

The weirdest shit about Xueyi is that she have colorless toughness break on ult, but her best use is actually against enemy already having quantum weakness and preferably a lot of enemies with quantum weakness already. Trying to patch this up with SW only works against single target enemies and against pure single target, her stack counter goes up very very slowly.

It's normal. If you look at it from the other side, the colorless break just makes her suck less when you're up against non-quantum weak enemies, by allowing her to do one of the things you'd normally be able to do against quantum weak enemies, so of course she's better against quantum. Then add in that so much of her kit is focused on toughness damage which makes her worse than other DPS against non-quantum - her ultimate and E2 help mitigate that so that she's still somewhat usable. Contrast Sushang who's absolutely terrible against non-physical. The unique thing she does bring to the table is being able to impose quantum break on non-quantum enemies, but there's not that much of an upside to that since Xueyi herself is dealing less damage. The only team I can think of that might even want this is Sushang+Xueyi since Sushang wants enemies broken longer and won't mind at all if Xueyi steals a break with her ultimate.

The colorless break is still very useful even when you're using her against quantum-weak enemies. If you watch the video, a good example is against the two elites where Xueyi easily finishes the break on the mage who isn't quantum weak with her ult since Pela and Ruan Mei can chip it's toughness while she and Fu Xuan can focus on the guard next to it. Unless literally every single enemy is quantum weak, she still gets a lot of value from it.

Gonna be honeat when i went the hybrid build, i was originally 70cr with 180 cdmg, with 76 break effect, and my damage was higher, so when i swapped to 65/120 and 200 break effect i was so upset that the damage dropped, until i broke the weakness, then i realized that her damage was coming from breaking, that nuke caught me off guard so hard

The "double-edged sword" really only applies in the harder levels of SU (Swarm Disaster 5 and Conundrum 4+) where you want Xueyi using her follow-up attacks as much as possible

I think I heard someone said she's really only Dual DPS friendly with Blade, Jingliu, or Topaz, but Definitely she peforms better in a Hyperbuffed Scneario ie basically plopping her into Mono Quantum + Ruan Mei with SW or Pela depending on the Scneario 2.0 will be where she does benefit some more. From a certain Lightcone, as well as a Certain character who could be better then Bronya for Xueyi.

Ruan mei making Xueyi able to break super fast is incredible lockdown and the break extension usually allows me to get her ult up before the enemy break ends and instantly down them again on the next health bar reset lol. People saying her not being able to build stacks because of the time spent in break is a detriment might be forgetting the benefits of doing more dmg in break, entanglement, and mitigation of the pairing.

Had fun with solo sustain march 7 vs ice weak enemies + ruan mei + xueyi + another dps of an element that the enemy is weak to. E6 xueyi gets stacks very fast from every march follow up attack, or any other unit that attacks/ults/follow-ups often (Sushang, blade, clara, topaz) maybe not peak optimal, but lots of fun

Hey gacha can you tell us when exactly is usually better to use an atk % sphere? Is it when bonuses are 30% already? When do bonuses get to diminishing returns that makes atk% better?

Xueyi is a special case exception cause she transforms 100% of her BreakEffect into Damage Bonus, so you using a Break Effect Rope on her gives (64% BE)+(64% DMG), so now she can forgoe the 38% Quantum(her element) Damage Bonus Sphere for an 44%+ ATK Sphere as she is 4 star unit (they lack ATK,DEF, and HP stats) to further her dmg, even more so with Ruan Mei in your team (Ruan Mei offers 0 ATK% Bonuses in her kit at E0, unless you use that Planetary +8%ATK to team set)(She offers excessive DMG% from her skill, and talents/traces/ultimate through Res Pen)

5:55 I notice Bronya isn’t the best option in a few comps. I kinda feel like she’s a little overrated because she isn’t always a good fit. ALWAYS bring top tier value even with low investment but not always the “smoothest” option.

I’ve been using Clara, HuoHuo and Ruan Mei with her and it’s been going well. If you want to try a dual dps comp that’s if you even consider Clara a dps to begin with…

Idk much about Xueyi and maybe is the differents investments levels but Dreamy did a one cycle clear with Ruan Mei Bronya and Fu Xuan, but yeah putting those two together makes every DPS a Killing machine, but yeah Xueyi E6 it's a diferent character

Ive noticed with her that running double atk ornaments alongside aeon is still better for her in a mono quantum team instead of atk orb and be rope. (I do have be substats for days tho)

You dont have to grind for specific spheres, just lock one for each stat when something unique pops up and you wont regret it especially in Star Rail where they are seemingly getting more variety with which stats kits are scaled off of.

well, we didn't know it bro. :( I remember cleaning my relics a month or two ago, and the first thing I did was clean up atk% orbs and def/hp ropes 😭 because i thought no one would ever use them fk. how many of those are great for xueyi? idk. I'll forever suffer remembering them
