What do you mean by bursing?.....belts on a reduced diameter wheel snap along the fix point due to the friction increase the smaller the wheel....bursting...only way a belt can actually burst is if not used correctly.....i often have grit belts snap.....as arms used cause to much friction on the tape joint due to reduced contact wheel....never ever had a belt burst....maybe e are on the same sined tho ie burst,,,,snapping where joint is?

Why is my dyna file bursting the sanding belts each time I place a new one ( belt) on?

@@inthehomeshop hi I have a dynabrade mini dyna file that uses 1/2" belts works excellent but recently observed belts bursting can you advise me please. Thank you in advance

tracking is the key word.......look at the belt on full blast and make SURE its centered..and once cenetered...dont file with the edge of a belt EVER(OR TOAST MAN).u will smoke it in a minute....center the belt down pressure center belt force(if possible,usaaully not easy )...act......im 48....im old...ha
