Truck looks dope. I have a set of nitto 420s on 22x12s. The ride is butter smooth but riding in the rain sometimes scares the shit out of me.

I did Kryptonite a-arms and shocks and used stock keys. The aftermarket keys are almost too much lift. Not worried about excessive front end wear now with ball joint angles near factory.

One question, is it a thing to cut those service stops out? Coming from desert trucks and prerunners usually we mod the stops to maximize the travel but we are messing with long travel suspension. Leveled my truck and was looking at it and even though I only went up 2 inches on my lbz and it’s close to those stops.

You’ll notice the ride quality improvement when you cut the perch and allow proper downward travel.

Why do I hear people say to just keep stock front end steering components rather than getting kryptonite. Ive seen a few people on the facebook duramax group with kryptonite kits having issues after a few months.

Actually the proper and better way to do it is to use the kryptonite upper control arms and kryptonite leveling keys, that way you don't have to cut off the factory bump stops which you're actually there for a reason.

If you don’t want to, you don’t have to with cognito kits either. They’re both identical

@@JWMontoya the control arms on the kryptonite are angled at the top specifically to allow at least as much of the factory travel if not more. I did the exact same setup you did on that truck except everything is kryptonite. I run 35's with the leveling kit. The suspension and steering on that truck is now perfect, the way GM should have made it.

So in theory you could have cut the factory pump stops out. Bought new shocks and it would ride exactly the same as it does now

What would you do about the ball joint angle on the factory UCA? It doesn’t accommodate the new steeper angle

Exactly. that's why he went with Cognito arms, which accommodates for the ball joint angle, just like Kryptonite. They are identical. If anything, cognate ones offers more camber/caster adjustability.
