She definitely has her dad's personality!
@lapislazuli78762 ай бұрын
@@dawnstrohm5382 yeah I can see a lot of her dad. That Latin side. But I also sense her mother’s strength in her. The way she talks fast like her mom. The way she is practical like her mom. Lucille was practical and fast and a doer. I sense that in little Lucie, too. Both her parents really imbued her with that strong sense of self and being able to survive and thrive. People of that generation were different to how people are now. They weren’t victims or offended by anything. They had a strong sense of who they were, warts and all. Even with all Desi’s human failings as a womaniser and so on, he was still an amazing man, and I can see that both Lucille and Lucie adored him and admired him, regardless. He was a fully fleshed out human, with flaws and failings but also with extraordinary passion, ingenuity, inventiveness and intelligence. Migrants of that era were extraordinary people out of necessity and out of needing to make it. Lucie has all those qualities but in a more modern and more enlightened way I suppose. I always admired the Arnaz-Ball family.

I love Lucille Ball and Desi Arnaz in I love lucy the long long trailer and forever darling plus Lucille Ball on the lucy show and here's lucy with the kids. I suffered a severely abusive childhood unfortunately I had to live with my grandparents and my granny was always watching lucy so I think that's why. She made me laugh and forget about my troubles for awhile. I was just 8 years old when she passed away but I remember it being all over the news for a long time. That was the cutest interview ever! Thank you. I grew up watching Here’s Lucy as a kid in the 70s, and I always thought Lucie & Desi Arnaz Jr 36:00 were great on that show. I can see so much of Lucille Ball’s mannerisms in Lucie, the way she talks so fast and is a quick thinker and the way she tells stories and is strong and just confident and capable. And then, I can also see Desi in her too, the Latin side, the passion, the big heart and the inventiveness. Lucie is just a rarity in show business. She’s real. She’s honest, she’s down to earth and she’s just herself. What a gift.

At 19:00, Ms. Arnaz def expressed pain that her momma wasn’t able to “be there “ at certain times…and it is what she’s saying…”what do you have to give up for fame?” Lucille Ball was an important part of my childhood on Tv and my grandmother absolutely adored her . Ball was so downright beautiful in SO many ways. Incredible talent and strength and audacity.

@@cathyellis767 my grandma and me went on a tour of the Hollywood stars houses in the early 1980s. I was 15. And I’m from Australia. I grew up watching Here’s Lucy and my grandma and I just wanted to see Lucy’s house and we did. She adored Lucy and admired her. It’s so funny how simple things were back then. As Australians back then, we were so influenced by American pop culture. It was our big reference point. Lucy kind of symbolised everything great about America to me back then: the exuberance, the positivity, the can-do attitude, the affluence and everything that was fun and bright and beautiful. It seemed like a magical place to me. I know things have changed a lot since then, and it’s now a strange, distorted, mean, dissociative Trumpian world now, not a funny, pleasant, sweet Lucy world.

I’d like to know how Desi Jr. Is doing now and whether he has managed to find some peace and happiness following his years of addiction.
