Total 3 phases: (Summary) 1st phase = Short term phase (2015-2020) In the first phase the goal was to resolve the energy needs of Pakistan and to improve the infrastructure of pakistan. As a result, 2 dams have been constructed on river jehlum and other thermal power plants have been completed adding more than 9000MW of electricity to the National Transmission Grid. Moreover, many highways have been completed adding more than 600km to the highway network of Pakistan. 2nd Phase = Medium Term phase" Focus is on: - development of Special Economic Zones in Pakistan to make its economy stable. - Total 33 SEZs are projected to be a part of CPEC. Out of these 4 are under construction: 1 - In Rashakai (KPK) - known as Rashakai SEZ 2 - In Dhabeji (Thatta) - Know as Dhabeji SEZ 3 - In Faisalabad - Known as Allama Iqbal Industrial city 4 - In Balochistan - known as the Bostan Indutrial Zone - Additionally, focus is on being layed on "innovation corridor" and "green corridor" to promote collaborations in the fields on Ecommerce, AI, communication networks, Smart Cities, and agriculture. - Some focus is on tourism, but it will be dealt in the 3rd phase. 3rd phase = Long term phase: (2026 - 2030) - Focus will on on increasing tourism and collaboration in the field of human resource development. - This will include some development in the educational sector of Pakistan.
