Heya everyone!
Here's FINALLY the fourth of the seven themes that will be included in "Primordial Pantheon EP" - the themes of the Kings and Queens of 25.000 years ago, who are important characters in Infinite Eclipse: Origin!
Of course, more information about the series will come soon but you can have already a few hints in the document I always put in description of all IE related videos.
This time, we're going with the theme of Virtus, the King of Heroes! "The bells of Thaaldin are ringing!"
For that track, I wanted brass to be part of the main instruments, but also having bells in it. Music going slowly but building up more and more. Also, adding a bagpipes ensemble simply because that reminds me of dragons (which virtusians are at the origin of).
This theme is quite overdue and I have to admit I redid this track 6 times, not knowing where I wanted to go, but I eventually managed to convey something I had in mind regarding Virtus.
While Virtusia (Virtus' Kingdom) and Thaaldin seems to be dark or evil, that isn't the case at all - actually, it's quite a paradise for the virtusians living there (though other species might find the environment a bit rough to live in).
I don't have much more to say about the song, so enjoy!
Even though the words "young" and "old" don't mean much regarding the Primordial Pantheon considering how ancient they are, Virtus looks like being the oldest members of them (after Python). While being neutral to all the other Kings and Queens, he acts like the Protector and Knight of Python. The trust between those two is unwavering - no matter the subject, he'll always take her side.
As a King, he's fair to his people and all Virtusians highly respect him. He's also at the head of the Central Guild Inn, located in Thaaldin, and presides the Protectors Coliseum Championship, where Protectors can hope for rank promotion there.
While Virtus is revered by his people, he's also a bit feared as deemed extremely serious and severe about any topic - would it be something grave or simply discussing which beer is better.
Ventae is the only one from the Primordial Pantheon to have some sort of positive relationship with Virtus, since she always try to joke with him (even though he never really laugh at anything).
Regarding the hate Fulmen has towards him, Virtus understands where he comes from. He also let Fulmen strike him with his artifact charged with thunder - giving him the scar he has from the neck to his left jaw.
While justified, Virtus deemed this act childish. The only words he gave to Fulmen was "He's a curse" which caused Fulmen to try to attack him once more, but was stopped by Python.
Many cycles have to pass before Fulmen and Virtus met again. Since then, they keep discussion to the strict minimum.
Virtus' Kingdom It is the exact opposite of Ventae’s Kingdom. This land have a lot of volcanoes and lava lakes. Most of the ground is made of rocks. However, while it isn’t especially live-friendly, there is - in the South near the coast - a beautiful forest of multicolored crystals. The one who descends from the King of Heroes have an immunity against the heat and eat crystals (explaining some small crystal farms). If there are other alicorn species living in Virtusia, they probably all live in Thaalding, where the heat is bearable by most.
The sacred castle of Virtus and capital of this Kingdom is “Thaaldin”. While this city seems scary from far away and that Virtusians are a bit rough, one would notice they're quite welcoming and their Guild Inns serve a huge variety of beer, coming from all of Equestera.

This definitely surprised my expectations for a powerful leader and king definitely captures his vibe amazing work on that. Also I can't help but notice there's a bit of Arduneus theme in each of the kings and queens themes for a split seconds is now that I noticed that the scythe and scarf that the king possesses is the same as the one Amber posses in the theme heroes shall vanquish Wich makes me think is it him that gave his power to Amber 🕵️‍♀️👀 is just a speculation don't mind me.

Well, I assume the theme you recognise isn't Ardenu's theme, but more like the "Primordial Pantheon" theme, which is at the end of each Primordial's themes (like written in each description) Though, yes, it's a bit hinted in the song "Heroes Shall Vanquish" but Ember starts to receive some of Virtus' powers with the scythe

Glad you like the music! Check the description for more information regarding the lore! While there isn't a full story written yet, one is actually in production to be released as novel series. Also, if you enjoy the lore, I'd suggest to join the discord server (and read the rules of it), there are even a bit more lore there ;)

I believe I asked this a long time ago but the timeline of the Infinite Eclipse series is ALSO in order through the upload since 5 years ago? Update: wait, I just realized something. The playlists you created are the ones to watch in the timelines order, correct? Also brilliant track. Can wait until the next one!

There are different Infinite Eclipse playlists and all of them have a number before their title. The songs are in order in each playlist. For example, this track is on the playlist 00 (IE:Origin), which happens more or less 25.000 years before the event of the other two playlist (01-IE:Prequel / 02.-IE:Prequel's Finale). There isn't any specific order in Primordial's theme, though, but where there's a specific story, it's in order :)
