No, you don't need to say you love it...your ear-to-ear Nightwish-smile already did. I love this song too and my Nightwish-smile agrees! I also love the way Floor rolls her eyes when she sings "A starving crew with show-off toys"! On their latest album there a song about the same theme, "Tribal", also with some amazing drumwork from Kai.

Excellent comment!! Kai is a completely different style from Jukka, but both are remarkable geniuses who only enhance the music. I love, so very much, that they are such good friends, and Jukka recommended him to the band. I also love that Jukka is still with the band in the administration end - that dude is family to all of us who love Nightwish. Thanks, James!

I find this song to be a bit conflicting for me personally. I see the criticism of organized religion and agree. I was raised Roman Catholic, but turned my back on the church in my early teens after recognizing the hypocrisy and corruption within my congregation. However there are many values and teachings of the Bible I still believe 40 years later. The Ten Commandments IMHO are the foundation of a good and just society.

Rather than responsibility to the divine, people should be taught to be responsible to each other and the species as a whole.

Most of them already existed in pre-Christian Europe and were simply borrowed by the Church in order to keep its hold over the people. The early Christian sects were absolutely disgusting. The hypocrisy within Christianity is huge. You can break all the Ten Commandments and still expect to be "forgiven" and "saved". Churches are filled with "born again virgins" and I highly doubt that it's Jesus they're looking for there.

Troy is playing an Electric Bouzouki ( A musical instrument popular in Greece. It is a member of the long-necked lute family, with a round body with a flat top and a long neck with a fretted fingerboard.). Marko is Playing an Warwick Infinity / Panthera Double neck Bass and Guitar ( It is called THE BEAST). This song is against organized religions based on tribal religious texts, especially The Bible, it's not against personal faith in some Deity. However, one should realize that all those religious texts are & have been interpreted and used to justify unimaginable cruelties, persecution, discrimination etc., the worst being the idea that man is separate from nature & by some divine right above all other lifeforms, which explains the current almost catastrophic state of our planet. lyrics are spot on - so many fractures in our world have a root in the fantasy that each of the religions/sects/whatever are THE ONE way. This song speaks, with anger, against the fact that we humans are destroying ourselves and this world based on a power structure that needs to be made obsolete - we ALL deserve better. I LOVE this Song . Especially Floor's Freddie Mercury pose at the end . Nightwish is not a "rabbit-hole," they're a honey pot! Nothing but pleasure and amazement. Tuomas does not write anything but masterpieces. Creative people plant seeds, talented people are the enriched soil that grow those seeds. Everybody has seeds to plant, and a great diversity of produce grow from them. The genius of Tuomas found the genius of Empuu, Marco, Jukka, Troy, Kai, and Floor, Tarja and Anette to grow his seeds of brilliant compositions. Nightwish is a symbiotic pairing of composer, musicians and audience ... and we are all the richer for it. Your joyful watching of this great song planted the seeds of joy in all of us. So much drive and momentum, Kai in full beast mode on those drums and I love anything with powerful tribal-type drumming. I love starting my Saturday with a great cup of coffee and your beautiful smile. This is a great song with a very strong message. A little criticism on organized religion. He is not against it, only commenting on the doctrine of faith or damnation as a tool to control and profit from the masses. Even as the leaders display their own hypocrisy while taking advantage of their position to fulfill their lustful desires behind closed doors. Tuomas has stated that he is "Openly Secular". Amazing your heartening all the comments , and again a true honest reaction to this awesome band. I lost focus after their breakup wih Tarja, their first vocalist, and didn't listened again until 2019. I obviously missed a good time, because I could have been in Wacken 2013. It's about 2 hours away from home with a car (getting tickets is another topic 😉) My favorte song those days with Tarja was 'Wish I Had An Angel', and I still think, for some songs Tarja was a bit better voice. Of course, Floor can take all the songs in her style, that was the reason for me to become hooked again. Maybe you find some time to listen / react also to some songs of the Tarja era. @Jyngerslapz I just just discovered Nightwish for the first time around the middle or end of Sept 2022. That lead me to the rabbit hole of looking for other bands in kind of the same space. I highly recommend you check out Sirenia. They have a few music videos you could react to and so far I haven't found any live videos of a quality that you'd want to use for a reaction video. I'm not recommending this band for you to doing reaction to but for your off camera enjoyment. I really think you'd like them. So far of the bands I've checked out in the genre Nightwish is my favorite. 2nd is Sirenia. 3rd is Epica.
