It makes the explosion inaccurate, if the game is loud just turn your master volume down so audio doesn't peak, Hifi doesn't compress the audio as much.

Your audio should be night mode. It makes footsteps louder and shots quieter so even in a gunfight you can better hear someone pushing, flanking or rushing you
