JYP is iconic. It’s weird to me how many stays make fun of him, they love the “be yourself” message of SKZ but constantly talk about him being cringey. He is the epitome of himself and not giving a F I kind of love that. Are there lots of problems with the power dynamics in K-pop? Yes, definitely. But it’s clear from the way JYP artists interact with him that they are pretty comfortable with him, more than I’ve seen with other companies. I lll take a queue from them!

Any fan who think jyp is bad is just delusional; in kpop industry,he’s the only boss that all (not just some) idols are freely making fun of,that’s because he’s not into the ridiculous hierarchy dynamics,some fans might think he’s scared of loosing money makers,but they didn’t even try to keep got7 during their highest. What are you guys talking about? I extremely disagree. To me it's sounds like JYP apologists perspective. And he certainly doesn't need it .I remember him on show saying how he got tired of fans saying I love you and that he not interested in achieving it anymore. And treatment he subjected GOT7 to is insane. Especially back then when he had more power in company. They were Big ,but got neglected so badly. And I not even their fan .If you look hard enough you can make hours of video essays about each of his creepy actions. He did so many things he never apologised for .It's shocking to me that some people don't despised him.

JYPapi is an artists, entertainer, entrepreneur, and a teacher. It is not odd to see him still get on a stage. Look at some American bands; Aerosmith literally just stopped touring and they are in their mid-70s. The entrepreneur keeps up with current musical trends and he actively engages with trainees. He's lived all sides of the industry artist, producer, management, and as a consumer (fan) of these goods. The man literally breathes k-pop. When watching him perform with the young idols i have to ask myself "is he crazy, marketing genius, or is it that great performers never die"?

He leans so into it, its amazing. He by apparent accounts has a decent relationship with the artists at JYPE if they can all laugh off poking fun at him like this. Between Got7 and skz, he really gets no breaks, even AT the concerts when he's there they all laugh with/at him together. He gets a lot of stuff thrown at him that really isn't his fault, but he's always here when we need either a good laugh or incredible second-hand embarassment (and you never know which one youre gonna get, lmao).

For those saying JYP isn't even in charge anymore, that's not entirely true. He is still a very big influence being a major shareholder in the company and the CCO (Chief Creative Officer) who has final say in creative decisions involving the artists. He's not just a figurehead at JYPE just because he stepped down as CEO, he's still a boss, just not the head boss. Not saying people should feel one way or another about him. Just not to underestimate the amount of pull he has.
