IS6 back in the day was super powerful though, great DPM, incredible side and frontal armor due to not having lower plate weakness, good enough speed, good enough pen with its APCR and pref MM is a huge thing as well.

Last 15 minutes the average bid was 100 golds more then 15 minutes before, so a lot got a worse is6 for over 30 euros in nowadays wot meta

@@handgranate2008 well these kinda tanks never really been the meta. Both IS-6 and k2 would've not been competitive even 7 or 8 years ago. These are the tanks that you don't play if you want to get the best performance out (assuming you are player who nows how to play the game). Especially the K2 is a tank for beer boomers that hold w to the moment they see someone and die. This tank will keep them alive for a bit longer. But u could never say u would take IS-6 or K2 to anything competitive. In conclusion im just happy they put these kinda tanks to auction so i don't have to waste money and there isn't any more op tanks.

I know this tank is the K-2 and not the K2 but I will take this opportunity to say a few things about the K2. K2 is the second highest mountain (after Mt Everest) at 8611m above sea level and also has the second highest mortality rate out of all 8000m+ peaks, after the deadly Annapurna. In 2021 it became the last 8000m+ peak to be conquered during winter (probably because it is also the northernmost of these peaks and has the most cruel winter). With many members of the expedition dying or going back before reaching the peak, only some Nepalian Sherpas actually managed to complete this glorious achievement.

There is a 45mm part of the armor that connects the upper part of the side armor to the lower part that can be over match anything > 135mm guns. But yes, the armor is the strong point and is a great tank to do blocking missions.

On the HE topic you mentioned QB, one of the best tanks to use strictly HE shells and it be affective is the Conway with the 105. You have 120mm of pen and around 1000ft shell velocity. I've been wrecking everything but the heaviest of tanks. I'd love to see you play it for the first time in like 5ish years.

I just fought against one of these tanks in my 2023 Christmas box heavy tanks, the Type 63. I hit him in the side 18 times with a mixture of standard AP and Gold rounds. 18 hits, and 0 penetration. Tank is crazy OP.

I love this tank. I use the Experimental Equipment T3 for the speed and traverse with a purple rammer, and a Durability Device. I swap out the rammer and durability for Verts and Rotation if I think I am going to be mobile. My crew is maxxed on Repairs so I am okay gambling with being tracked. I only use gold rounds. I'm almost to 54% in the tank. It's too slow with low DPM for Frontline though

I gotta say, this tank is a breath of fresh air in a world filled with "sweaty nerds" obsessed with tank statistics. It's not overpowered, which is a relief for those of us who want to actually have fun playing the game instead of sweating buckets over the numbers. Whether you're in front lines or just going hog wild, this tank is the perfect ride for when you're having one of "those days" in World of Tanks. One thing to keep in mind though, is that even the most seasoned players will take shots at you when doing a blocking mission in this baby. So be prepared to take a hit, but hey, that's all part of the fun, right?

I remember when the Defender came into the game. People complained that it was OP because of the IS-7 level armor, but with the shit gun handling, pen, and mobility, it turned out to kind of suck, and people learned to deal with toy. Now the Defender is one of the least-played heavy tanks at tier 8. This thing looks like Defender 2.0. It has the Defender’s strengths, only better, and the Defender’s weaknesses, only worse. It will be very popular for a short time, but it won’t last. It’s garbage.

These games are showing you that you want to work as a team. Platoon with 2 TDs or a medium and a TD who have the DPM / alpha and the ability to support you from a far. I think back to the scouting Maus. If the juggernaut has supporting fire, it doesnt need amazing DPM (assuming your team is working with you). Shame indirect fire isnt really a thing in this game anymore. Cause that would be unfair lol. I don’t believe the K-2 to be a good tank but team tactics might make this playable. Once upon a time arties and heavies worked together. Maybe we need a different loadout for arty ammunition (to make them a viable choice again) (balanced and not unfun to play with + against).

the K-Poo, 200 ap, 270 heat, 700-800 m/s velocity, this tank is a giant heavily armored turd that wont hit the broad side of a barn and when it does itll bounce. this tank in the current op premium meta isnt worth it unless its in a tech tree and even then its not worth the credits unless youre bored. QB is absolutely right here, what u want out of a premium tank is a solid standard ammo type like the 703-II which has 221 standard apcr and a fun double shot mechanic. youll make credits and have fun while doing it.

Udarny and kirovetz along with obj 252 u are the similar, but somehow i find obj 252 u best because of 225 penetration of standard rounds, it makes more credit and if you have vert, stab and aiming device the gun is actually usable..but if you want to be a match for bz 176 WG must combine good armor with solid gun handling and good penetration.

This tank seems to benefit WG only. Low speed and DPM trolls the owner, while pulls all the gold ammo from the enemy, and dooms low level opponents. Like the Chrysler K - maybe this is why its K2 - the main point of this vehicle is to kick the game economy on the balls a little more, by inducing more gold ammo usage. BZ seems to be more game braking though.

Finally WG realizza that if a tank has thick raw armor, it's weight is a lot, and so the mobility can't be good. I think this is balanced. Remember there are many t8 that have really good armor and many other better statistics

So, to sum it up: - It's infuriatingly slow. - It's going to miss 9/10 shots. - It's going to make abysmal credits for a premium since you'll have to spam gold in about 80% of your battles. - Everything is just going to cake you with gold anyway making the armour (mostly) irrelevant. I think I'll stay with my Defender if I feel the urge to play sovjet premium heavies.

So I just watched a game with a Monkey King vs K2 and the K2 had been hit 1 time before they meet. The Monkey King was at full HP. The K2 killed the monkey king with half his health remaining. I dont remember the ammo they fired but it just shows how powerful this armor is.

This vehicle is good for unexpirienced player... For those, who don't know how to use high mobility (except for being killed in the first minutes of battle) or high DPM... This armor will forgive a lot of mistakes and low mobility will make sure, you will not get in troble too fast. :) Overal, this tank is not that bad. But far from being very good.

150 mm of side armor... Theres some tier 6s that dont even have that much pen. WG really does have this complete animosity towards any tank > tier 8

qb why don t you use the reticle mod from skill you will see that you dont need to aim the gun fully

An IS-6 knock off designed for wallet-heavy tomatoes who don't do any work in their matches anyway. Yeah we aren't missing much.
