This is one of your best videos yet! The format and edits are on point! I've read somewhere before that the founder of Glossier was heavily inspired by K Beauty before she established the company. Personally, I feel like most of their stuff is kinda overpriced tbh, as this video accurately depicts that if I'm going for the more natural and fresh makeup look, might as well go straight for K Beauty products!
@kawaiikoibito32684 жыл бұрын
But K-beauty makeup products don't have inclusive shade ranges. Why do ppl forget this?? Glossier has more shade variety
@roujing88574 жыл бұрын
kawaii koibito yes its undeniable that K beauty typically has poor shade ranges compared to Glossier. However, this edge that Glossier has is only relevant in their base product line - the stretch concealer and skin tint. So you could go for that if you wish of course, but for other colour makeup products, for example mascara and lipstick, might as well go for the cheaper option with an even wider range of selection? 🤷♀️
@kawaiikoibito32684 жыл бұрын
@@roujing8857 yes I agree but aren't even lipsticks have to match the skin tone?

I don’t know what’s the hype about glossier, when you can have Korean makeup do it way better, for much less $$$. Glossier seems to me like expensive children’s toy makeup. Korean makeup on the other hand, although cute packaging, does the job really well at giving us a healthy complexion.
@fermolina6265 жыл бұрын
Laureen Ortiz do you recommend any brand of korean makeup ?
@82laureen5 жыл бұрын
Fer Molina I use holika holika. But the downside on that brand, as most Korean brands, is that they are made for pale skin, so it’s going to be difficult to find medium and deeper shades on bbcreams and cushions. ☹️
@oh_kay29545 жыл бұрын
It depends on the goal and image of the brand. It’s like comparing nyx to mac. Both work the same, in one you’re paying from prestige of the brand. Or lush vs bath and body works. B&BW scents will last longer on the skin, but lush has a more natural vibe. It depends on what you want.
@FloydStardoll4 жыл бұрын
it's shade range i love korean makeup but the foundation literally has only 2 shades which is white af...
@matchalatte734 жыл бұрын
It's hyped up by Westerners because they're into this "natural flawless" look that Koreans/Chinese/Japanese have had going for years. It's always that way. A lot of today's current Western beauty trends come forth as innovative and new when we all know it's not. Yet they refuse to give an ounce of credit to Oriental beauty standards. Let's take for example the rise of skincare and skincare in makeup products. BB creams are a clear example.

OOOO questions,.....skin type? What kind of finish does it have w/out powder? Does it settle if you're a big "eye" smiler?
@4booky8315 жыл бұрын
@@ScarlettKriss definitely. It will crease because its a very dewy creamy concealer, but very low coverage so maybe not too noticeable. So you would have to consistently pat it out uf you dont want it to crease or make sure to make sure to set it well
@aedreannemendoza24345 жыл бұрын
Scarlett Min Ji i have combo skin, oily t zone. Weirdly enough, it doesn’t crease for me even without setting. I guess it depends on the skincare you use underneath it too. It is a dewy finish without setting powder but like a natural dewy, not oily dewy. Even though it’s light coverage, it definitely covers the redness and gives sheer cover when it comes to acne scars. If your face is properly moisturized, it literally MELTS into your skin and it looks almost natural. I use it on the sides of my nose, under my eyes, and anywhere I have acne scars. It enhances your complexion idk what it is, I was really skeptical about it too but it makes me look like I have clearer skin (no foundation).

you’re only supposed to use 8-15 drops of the glossier skin tint(that’s what the founder of glossier said). I’ve had mine for 3 almost 4 months and use it 3-5 times a week and am just now a little more than halfway done with it. So I feel like for how much I’ve gotten out of it it’s worth the price. It’s also amazing for redness, I get really red cheeks and when I put this one it really evens out my skin tone and perfects my skin. I hate heavy foundation, most break me out and I feel so oily so for me the skin tint is an absolute life savior. So if you have red skin and don’t like the feeling of having stuff on your face id really recommend it.
@alezvth4 жыл бұрын
Eleanor McGowan honestly me personally I’m gonna have to say no for glossier because really it’s not that good in favor like how you use 8-15 drops and it only lasts about maybe 6-7 months when most foundations or skin tints last a year or more and it only really has much value if you already have perfect skin and in fact I did a test of how long it lasted with my friends a while back on how long it really lasts and to be honestly it’s not worth $26 if it really only lasts for 2-3 hours but then again it’s different for everybody so I can’t judge but I do think there’s better
