Deacon Seraphim is simply explaining how the Arabic byzantine music evolved with time, and that even though some might find that the chants that were composed by mitri el murr are a bit difficult and a bit different in meaning than the actual Greek, however there is no doubt that Mitri el Murr is the first to start this path allowing others in our Orthodox Church to continue and progress in composing and chanting. Now for my personal opinion as a chanter myself(not Deacon seraphim) I have great respect for Mitri el Murr, but I find Father Nicolas and hamatoura brothers to be more interesting to me, helps me learn quicker and chant smoothly, take for example the Paraklesis for our lady Theotokos, that was put together by Father Nicolas and our beloved Archimandrite Pandeleimon and brothers in Hamatoura ….beautiful beautiful no words to describe 💜 God Bless
