Kyungsoo's popularity is insane especially in Japan, Indonesia, South Korea and Philippines. I can't even imagine if he decided to have concert outside SK. Kyungsoo gaining much more popularity in 2023. As an Indonesian, I think this list is quite accurate. Kyungsoo is such a trend here and I'm happy for it as Kyungsoo biased. However, Chen, Xiumin, Suho and Lay deserves a lot more recognition, they are underrated compared to the 5 other members. (even if Lay's popularity is rather dominant in China as a soloist, but I'm speaking of him as EXO member and internationally)

I would've agreed with you but take 2022 as an example, that year Kai attended some festivals but didn't release an album and besides the SM collab that was released the last week of December 2022 he didn't release music at all and he still ranked first. If anything Kyungsoo was well promoted as an actor by SM than KAI. But considering their last comeback Kyungsoo is well promoted than anyone. SM was pushing him on national tv while Kai had is only 5 music shows as his promo which he requested SM to allow him as this would be his last solo music shows before he was leaving to military in 2023. And not to forget Kyungsoo is the most active member in 2023 along with movie, variety show promotion etc which still didn’t help him to be no#1

@JninikAmblu Yes, he has a variety show and movie, but don't forget the fact here that Kyungsoo is promoted only this year. However not as well promoted as Kai. As you said Kai did only 5 music shows this year and he's doing it everytime he has solo comeback, while D.O never had a chance to promote his song in music show. We know how crucial Music show in kpop artists and fans. Also Dont forget that Kai/Baekyun is part of SuperM, they well promoted in western. In that aspect alone you can see that the exposure for Kai & D.O. has a huge gap. As an exol, Kai is the most promoted in all members next is Baekhyun and Chen. While D.O. never promote outside the county. So its amazing how little D.O promotion is but he still manage to be in top 3 most popular member.

@@kiminonawa1725 name one solo activity of KAI before his solo except his 3 acting gigs. I could name a many solo gigs that SM gave to Kyungsoo even before he got a solo. We all know that exols have been icky about being most popular even without his solo in 2020. And mind you those you were popular and only had been put into Superm. It is not Kai’s fault. And Superm hasn’t been active since march 2021 so running through it for saying that he had enough exposure is wrong. Like Kyungsoo was given many solo gigs since 2014 till his departure. That doesn’t equate to a 1 and half year run of Superm which wasn’t even a Hit 😂 you like it or not. Kyungsoo and Chanyeol are the most promoted members next is baekhyun. Even in 2019 Kai said he doesn’t have any solo activities in an obsession interview. One refer to all of their Wikipedia page we would know who is the most promoted by sm.

I'm a Korean. Kai is popular in Korea. However, even if you search for ‘카이’ on Google trends, Kai does not appear in Korean. You need to search for the English word 'kai'. Even if you search for '카이' in Korean, it doesn't appear in the list. And if you look at the search volume at the time when it was a hot topic in the past, there is no change in the graph because the Korean word '카이' was not searched. It's not that it's not popular in Korea. There seems to be a problem with Google's trend search method. Since Koreans search for '카이', not 'KAI', it is fatal not to be included in the search volume. So if I change the listing to Korean '카이' instead of 'KAI', I get the correct search volume. (Search criteria is April 1, 2016). Because of Google's incorrect search methods, many people misunderstand that Kai is not popular in Korea.
