Today's recipe is a very old days recipe of કાંગનો ઘસીયો | કાંગવો | Foxtail Millet Ghasiyo | Kangvo
This recipe is made from કાંગ ધાન્ય which is known as Foxtail Millet in english and कंगनी in hindi. benefits of this grain are as under.
Foxtail Millet is rich in Vitamin B12 which is essential for maintaining a healthy heart, smooth functioning of the nervous system, and in general good for skin and hair growth. A diet including Foxtail Millet may improve glycemic control and reduce insulin, cholesterol and fasting glucose in Type-2 diabetes patients.

Now a days, we could not find it at any kirana shop or super market, hence we ordered it on www.amazon.in
Ingredients & Method:
Grind One bowl Foxtail Millet in mixer.
Heat One tbsp ghee and two tbsp milk. Keep it warm. Add ghee-milk mix in crushed foxtail millet. Cover it for half an hour to rest. After half an hour, saute this mix at low flame in a pan till it turns to light brown in color.
Kang no Ghasiyo is ready.
Ghasiyo can be eaten with curd. Little red chili powder and salt adds extra taste.
Now for making Kangvo, dissolve two tbsp jaggery in one tbsp ghee at low flame on a pan. when jaggery gets dissolved, add it to ghasiyo. Mix it well to make it homogeneous mix.
Kangvo is ready.
