I've always enjoyed these etudes. You play them beautifully. You just took me down memory lane with my old teacher. I still have his original copy from the 50s!!

Thank you Katie. You did well, don't worry about it. You always want to do better and that's OK, but don't forget that for you that means you're trying to play at least one level above good. So you don't suck, you're not bad, not mediocre, not so-so, not almost there, you're good, and it's tough to be better than good.

Soo lovely Katie!!✨ I have a random question for like anyone But I’m having one of those bad flute days where I just don’t feel like playing that flute cause I like suck at it. Literally happened because of my flute lesson yesterday where I couldn’t flutter tongue of get my fingers to do any technical work...... sooo yeaaa I guess all I’m asking is how to get over this and actually want to play again /practise?💛any help would be much appreciated.

You can listen something that inspires you. For example, when I listen to Bach's Badinerie or Mozart's Flute Concerto in G major I feel really motivated (also when I watch a video of Tiffany Poon (she's a pianist)). You can also search a new piece that you enjoy pr want to learn and just play it. Or just get some rest days. Hope this can help you!❤

as a flute player those momets happen, and as the previous answer said, I just take a step back and listen to some music that really inspire me, personally Ernesto Kohler is my favourite flute composer so I listen for example to "La Perle du nord" and think about how much I'd love to play this and then I'm back playing !

Hi there, does anybody know something nice to play on the piccolo? My teacher doesn't pay attention to it and I don't like the pieces in my piccolobook but I want to play it so bad and I don't have anything to play

How do you record your sound for this? I try to record on my iPhone using memos app to listen to myself but it always sounds so terrible and it’s like my flute is making out the mic. I keep putting my phone farther away and even being in the furthest corner of the room it’s not a good recording.

You're a great player and I know you will agree sitting down like that definitely compromise your breathing. Please do not take this as criticism but just an observation because the daily studies are great inspiration for us all to practise.
