This has been one of my favorite Christmas songs for years. Its one of the songs that pulls my heart and mind toward the essence of what Christmas is all about. And this performance shows me once again that SCC is a sincere servant of Christ and not just another performing artists doing his thing. He has had a lot of success over the years, but what SCC seems to have (that other artists should seek to excel in as well) is a genuine heart for Christ and for ministering to people through his music.

I love this song. It would be really great if guitar players would record their videos to allow the chords to be seen. I can only pick out ones here and there. If Steven ever sees this I hope would consider this in the future or put out an acoustical instructional DVD and chords written as you actually play them not for piano. I'd buy it right away! An easy way to play this is Capo One (Capo Four for the album version): finger pick and embellish D (relative to the capo) "In a one bedroom apartment" Do the same with A and Asus "And underneath" Repeat again and then change to Em "We're together..." To play it like SCC and get the beauty of the fattest strings on the guitar, go Capo Two (Capo Five for the album version): Start on (relative to Capo) C# by using your C bar chord shape and sliding it over one fret. G# and G#sus for "And underneath..." Go from there and see what you can discover. I've always been a big fan of SCC's artistry. He often uses pretty unique chord progressions.
