Kanchkala Kopta Curry is a delicious and popular Indian dish. Here is the recipe for making Kale Kopta Curry:
Materials:
For Copta:
- Raw Banana 4 (boiled and chopped)
- 1 onion (finely chopped)
- Ginger-garlic paste 1 tablespoon
- Red chilli powder 1 teaspoon
- Cumin powder 1 tsp
- Coriander powder 1 teaspoon
- Mild chili powder 1 tsp
- A little light salt
- A pinch of turmeric powder
- Gram powder 3 tablespoons
- Oil (for frying)
For Curry:
- 2 onions (finely chopped)
- Ginger-garlic paste 1 tablespoon
- 2 tomatoes (finely chopped or tomato puree)
- Red chilli powder 1 teaspoon
- Cumin powder 1 tsp
- Coriander powder 1 teaspoon
- Turmeric powder 1 teaspoon
- Oil 3-4 tbsp
- Salt to taste
- As per water requirement
Preparation method:
1. Kopta Preparation:
- First boil the plantain and chop it.
- In a bowl, mix onion, ginger-garlic paste, red chilli powder, cumin powder, coriander powder, light green chilli powder, turmeric powder, salt and cornflower in a bowl and mix well.
- Make small balls from the mixture.
- Heat oil in a pan, deep fry the cranberry balls in it. Remove when golden in color.
2. Curry Preparation:
- Heat oil in a pan, add chopped onion and fry until golden.
- Add ginger-garlic batter and fry a little.
- Then add tomatoes and saute the masala well.
- Add red chilli powder, cumin powder, coriander powder, mild chilli powder, turmeric powder and salt. Fry for a while.
- Add curd and let the masala boil.
- Add water according to curry thickness and boil a little.
3. Serving:
- Add the koptas to the curry and boil for 5-7 minutes so that the koptas can absorb the flavor of the curry.
- Serve hot.
