Always wanted a K&N because I saw them in racing games growing up. I have an Injen SP series system on my current car because they were the only option, and it makes all the sexy intake noises. Maybe on the next ride.

I have a K&N OEM style replacement fikter for my Honda NT700 Deauville From what I know it's not supposed drastically change flow characteristics, so no reflash or ecu tune needed. It was mainly for the reusable factor. Mine cost 25-30€ per piece. The K&N was 60eur on sale, another 15eur with cleaner+oil. That's gonna last me the next few hundred thousand kilometers It also seems to catch dust better than oem. Airbox is a lot cleaner than standard paper filter

35 seconds in, not sure if K&N are better than the rest, but I have to imagine they've been around so long for some reason or another 🤷 I have a K&N filter on the end of the AEM CAI on my 2.7 Tiburon. Not sure if I've always trusted them because the popularity of the name, but I've never had any issues with any of their products either

Aluminum is one of the worst materials for an intake. Aluminum is going to transfer a lot on engine heat into the intake and raise your IAT. They should have stuck with plastic or silicone.

The dirtier they are, the better they work. Sounds weird, I know. I ran one on my 99' GMC pre runner. Had it on the truck for 125,000 miles. Cleaned it once at 102,000, and everything behind it was clean as a newborns butt. You don't want to clean them too often, and don't over oil them as the oil can foul your O2 sensor if applied to heavily.
