498a IPC के दुरूपयोग को रोकने के लिए दहेह कानून में बदलाव या झूठे केस करने पर पत्नी को सजा के प्रावधान की सलाह विधान मण्डल को नहीं दी गयी है I माननीय Apex Court द्वारा प्रेषित सुझाव मे पति के खिलाफ Cruelty की धाराओं का उल्लेख है I

DV act was enacted in 2005 during UPA. 498A in 1983 during Congress. Can anyone guarantee that Congress will repeal these clauses. Rather all should raise their voice in proper forum like parliament committee who is reviewing these.

Adv. Sahib, new numbering of said sections is just old wine in a new bottle.Misuse of sec. 498 A is due to inefficient I.O. , our police system and interference by politicians in their work. Sec.494 needs to be a practical provision because presently it is impossible to prove bigamy and so misused by the accused husband.
