Excellent discussions and analysis! As a doctor I agree with you, it is an important issue. Fortunately I was able to train and practice as a Surgeon in private practitioner for twenty one year and later I worked for the Doctor for the DOJ BOP in the USA government for twenty years. Now I am retired in Springfield MO ! No reason to feel bad or smug about being a doctor or not being a doctor. I had done the ECFMG in 1970 now it is USMLE ! Only three of my friends and one relative from my circle did it in the old days ! Rest of the doctors five or six that I knew could not or wouldn’t do it. It is tuff! Please note that MPH or similar Med scientists are in great demands! I know at least two doctors who took degree in Anatomy who had excellent teaching jobs as professor in dignified universities. Don’t forget non clinical subjects that give us opportunities! I agree with you that any suitable job is great. No reason for shame! Climate crisis and over population are definitely critical threats to existence! Living well safe comfortable and in freedom are the primary ideas. All of you are doing great and congratulations. I greatly admire your efforts. I welcome you all. Best wishes and best regards.

I like this discussion. They are trying to give valuable information for the new comers physician. One more thing need to add that what is the requirements of entry to get a Medical School Student in Canada. I know that you need a undergraduate degree to get an admission for the first year medical student in Canada. However, there are many countries : after passing a 12 grade/ Intermediate (HSC) get an admission as a first year student of Medical college including Bangladesh. Thanks Zia bhai for your discussion. I think brother Anwar made a good observation that soft-skill is required to be a doctor in Canada. Actually, this soft-skill is required in any work environment in the West. This should be true for any society. I have seen many good things in American society. For example, when my wife visits a doctor's office the doctor would allocate at least 30 minutes for her. The doctor would answer every single question of my wife. However, when she goes to Bangladesh and happens to visit a doctor she feels like in most cases she is offended/insulted by the doctor or his/her assistant doctor/staff. The doctor would stop my wife by saying "you are asking too many questions?" As a nation, in most cases, our anger gets revealed in our faces or voice. SAD!
