I rode the Pure EV Epluto 7g, singles from Mumbai to Lonavla. Charged it once at Khopoli before the ghats started. I am 120kgs. The 7G was on mode 1, and I was shocked with the ease with which it took me up the ghats on mode 1. There were fuel cars struggling on the old Khandala Ghat, but the 7g was gliding easily.

For all saying biased and should have been tested on hyper,Ola S1 pro has serious heating issues and won't go along I faced similar problem and brakes are there to apply if it will cut power on such steep climb,this is a accident hazard.Also heating issue is there in heavy traffic.

Some misleading info on Ola. I am from pune and I did saswad ghat/Divey Ghat on OlaS1, 153 kgs total weight of rider & pillion. On incline, normal mode achieved speed of 45-48 max and on sports mode achieved speed of 55-58 km's max. This I did on the second day when I got delivery of scooter. I first climbed at normal mode without stopping at bottom of ghat, stopped midway and then on sports mode climbed the rest. Did not find any performance lag. I agree if one stops at an incline then it will not climb in normal mode with two ppl, but in sports mode there was no lag. S1 does not have hyper mode so cannot comment on that. You must be aware that all automobile companies do rigorous testing of vehicle in all conditions before the final launch.

Ola S1 pro does have problems while climing hills or steep ramps or flyovers because of the engine stalling when break is hit. That's a non-sense feature. Hopefully they can fix this in software upgrades soon. Holding the breaks lightly while climbing steep roads and taking a turn is a common habit and intuitive too. But Ola for some reason cuts off the power to engine completely.

Ola has acquired etergo an Amsterdam based company that designed evs for its climate. It is not made for Indian climate. Now ola is making their evs with the original design which is Dutch engineered. They don't require active cooling like the evs in India do.

There is a behavioral change in OLA. The problem is we are not used to of engine cut off when applied break. That's a issue but we get used to of it. And good news is at the end of April OlA will have a update in which Hill Hold feature will be added then only it will be able to sove this problem. But to be honest I am driving OLA s1 pro from last couple of weeks and I have tried on very incline road of Nahargarh Fort Jaipur, My ride was super smooth, even I should say best 2 wheeler. Just tell the subscriber that you already purchased Ather

It's not that EV's are underpowered in general but just this one is. I mean look at Tesla... A 60000 dollar Tesla rivals 2+ million dollar buggati in acceleration and torque. It sure beats buggati in acceleration but not in torque, electric vehicles have electric motors not engines so torque can't be there in the scene, but the torque that tesla advertises is the torque produced by wheels, so basically they compare apple with oranges engine torque and wheels torque are two different things, besides these aren't the only things you should keep in mind while comparing two vehicles, teslas build quality is dumb af looking at the hefty price they are charging to customers. Also coming back to the outrageous torque which the company advertises which may i remind you again is the wheel torque is still less than the wheel torque for buggati. Also about acceleration, acceleration can win you a 100m drag race, it can never meat the level of buggatis gear transmission which helps it to become one of the fastest cars on the planet (other one being koneigsegg not tesla 🤣).

Today taken Test drive to one of the most toughest slope of dehradun..the police station Rajpura ...to my surprise it did it where activa Couldn't. The only reason to what is happening in this video is that everytime you accelerate it, you forget to release the brakes just like how we do in any other Petrol bike in a fear that it might go down. This will further cut off the power supply and becomes even more challenging to steep ahead. Do not apply brakes while accelerating it and ola won't disappoint you.🙏

1st comparison is completely unfair 1) Chetak automatically switches to sports mode 2) You turned on ... Ather's warp mode directly not even riding or sports mode Then ,it's views time 3) Ola didn't climb in normal mode and you didn't switch to sports or hyper ... Why (for the sake of views) You didn't changed the mode... And secondly I can consider the heating issue ... But still due to first incident I can't trust you Need to check manually

he did switch to sports mode after it stopped in normal mode but scooter didn't even start on the hill incline. Also he said applying breaks made the scooter lose momentum and did not pick up acceleration, in the last attempt he did not apply breaks and it over heated. Clearly there is an issue with the product, if you live near a hill dont buy it.

Ather one of the best ev for Indian road. They have tested this vehicle on all Indian road conditions before launch. Still they are improving the experience of vehicle. Ola has to test their vehicle on Indian roads. A long way ahead for them to launch successful vehicle. Chetak has Bosch engine and battery, may be quite expensive for repair and replacement. Good review, I own ather since 3 years.happy with performance. Now a days, so many are jealous on me and my ather since they are spending more for petrol. Thanks to ather for wonderful product.

As a owner of ola s1 pro i can say it is extremely powerful scooter specially in sport and hyper mode ,i don't know why you were riding Ather with its best mode (warp mode) but not ola? You should try ola also in its best mode which is hyper mode

Ola might go bankrupt till then, Ola are applying the customer aquistion model on manufacturing industry and built a facotry to produce 1 crore ev scooters without having a product, with no R&D and future product lines they will fail.

I drive ola s1 pro from mumbai to pune, no heating problem also just like bike gears you should know when to switch from normal to sports mode, you should use it wisely, I am more than satisfied with ola performance but yes brakes cuts off the throttle and it’s hard to handle it on steep hill on double seat.

Yep... It's not that EV's are underpowered in general but just this one is. I mean look at Tesla... A 60000 dollar Tesla rivals 2+ million dollar buggati in acceleration and torque. Ola had the money and resources if they had put the time in R&D instead of crunching the deadline to just shove out a battery and motor on two wheels they could have made a great vehicle.

What more proof do you need? He used it for basic riding and it failed miserably. You don't need high end stuff for basic ride. Moreover i dont think there is any fundamental difference between s1 and s1 pro. Comparison is very authentic and not biased. Ola is basically big mouth and no substance.
