Spielmannszug is the term for civillian fife and drum corps. Musikkorps is the entire band led by the spielleute (fife and drum). I think there's something to do with prussian tradition about restrictions of goose stepping.

@TheEmperor20044 жыл бұрын
@@marty8535 It is now mostly done in West Germany(With goose-step and and prussian-style in every west-german state exept Bavaria and Baden-Württemberg because they have their own traditions and styles) but not in the former GDR.

Well technically today just sport teams, historically mostly made up of veterans and somewhat similar to militias (not all where required to defend their homelands, but some, even the swiss copied this). After WW1 and before WW2 some formed para military units, the most succesfull was the SA of the Nazi Regime. Others supported the SA and Hitler Youth with equipment and training facilitys. After WW2 in both parts of germany forbidden, with the founding of west germany reallowed and in the east forbidden until reunification. Nowadays just sport teams that still use the old traditions.
